I’ve been a bit of a nomad in the last years in and out of Europe – studying, working and looking for a higher sense in life. I eventually found the place I’d like to stay and it’s the amazing city of Lisbon, Portugal. Join me for my regular classes in a beautiful space in the heart of Lisbon, explore one of the special fusion weekend events or relax during one of the retreats I’m involved in… There’s a sweet little community welcoming you to practice some transformational vinyasa yoga mindfully together. My dream is to share our knowledge and good vibes on and off the mat! Here are some words about the style that I teach:
Vinyasa Flow Yoga is a dynamic and creative form of yoga. It offers a playful way to experience your body, to feel your own limits and learn to respect them. The flow of movement is always guided by the breath, which turns this yoga practice into a form of a dynamic meditation. The beginning of the yoga class is rather meditative, slow and drawn towards the personal experience. This gives you time to arrive and set your own intention and rhythm for the yoga practice. The middle part of the yoga class contains differently composed sequences of asanas (yoga postures). They are partly powerful and could be physically and / or mentally challenging and partly deeply humbling and touching and thus internally transforming. As in any dynamic form of yoga, the interconnection of movement and breath is essential for this style as well. The end of the class aims to guide the students into a deep relaxation in order to achieve a physical, mental and emotional balance. Every class in different and may or may not include: longer periods of meditation, inspired by various spiritual disciplines / pranayama (breathing practices) / massages / insights of some philosophical roots of yoga / work with essential oils or sound therapy. Here a few words about my own yoga experience and what to expect in my yoga classes: In the last eighteen years I've been in contact with both classical yoga traditions in India as well as modern yoga styles from Europe and the USA / Canada. My classes are inspired by practices like Prana Flow®, Embodied Flow™, Ashtanga & Vinyasa Yoga, Budokon®, Yin Yoga, Restorative, Hormon Yoga, Deep Tissue Massage, Thai Yoga Massage, Dance, Energy Work, Aromatherapy and many more. My goal is to teach classes full of joy, gratitude and a creative spark in which each participant feels at home, experiences him / or herself as well as the group energy in a positive way and manages to use the yoga practice as a transforming instrument for self-awareness. I practice and teach yoga with passion and dedication and I'd be delighted to share and exchange knowledge with you, dear yogis!
