Biovance Capital, together with co-investors OrbiMed and Torrey Pines Investment, has announced the Series A funding of Mondego Bio, based at Portugal’s Biocant biotech park. Mondego Bio is developing PTPN2 inhibitors, aiming to create safer and more effective immuno-oncology therapies.

This investment, the first by Biovance Capital Fund I, supports programs initially developed at Eilean Therapeutics and seeks to accelerate innovative cancer treatments while attracting top-tier scientists and investors to Portugal.
