Hello Everybody! ❤
People have been wondering what we've been up to, so we thought to share...

While we have been very quiet on the social front, we've still been working away on the land front, caring for all our trees, especially our youngest ones, 8000 of which were planted in January 2022. 🌳🌳🌳🌳

It's all good and well to plant lots of trees, that's the easy part. They need nurturing in their first 4 years, while their roots establish themselves. Watering them in the hot months of July and August is super important to reduce their mortality rate, and we are happy to say we have reduced it drastically with the extra care we've provided this summer and last summer.

Thank you to the beautiful beings who've helped us with watering and to those who helped us plant!

And remember, if you're feeling a bit too hot 🥵 these days, maybe think about planting some trees! The world needs it. 🌳✨🌳✨🌳

Summer @ Awakeland’23

This summer we are looking to recruit a very small team of volunteers.

We are looking for people who have a hard working mentality, they are genuinely interested in deepening their own self care and care for the environment they live in.

If you are able to work to instruction and have a healthy respect for the procedures that we already in place we would love it if you connect with us.

A good sense of humour and easy going attitude would be a great bonus!

Due to the location of Awakeland, it’s essential that you have a driver’s licence and a vehicle that you would be willing to use for shopping runs.

The working hours are 15 per week, starting immediately and ongoing for 3 months.

In return, we will give you a private room. Internet access. A shared living area with a full working kitchen, hot showers and flushing toilets.

You will also have the freedom of this beautiful land, to explore, to walk, relax, swim in one of our lakes and absorb all of her teachings.

In honour of EARTH DAY, we’re announcing that this year will be dedicated to the EARTH. Here on our beautiful piece of land, we will be focusing all of our resources to her, to the land, lakes and trees. 🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳

We are beyond grateful for all the wonderful workers and volunteers, exceptional teachers, musicians, and amazing participants, who contributed in making the last few years of events to be FULL OF LOVE and MAGIC. 💫💫💫

We thank you! 🙏🙏🙏

In 2022 we had our biggest programme of events ever and began the year with our largest plantation of trees ever, which are growing very well, we're proud to say!

We implemented a variety of successful soil regeneration techniques as well as increased our newly-planted-tree survival rate, regardless of the regional water shortage challenges.

So 2022 was a big year for us! Now the land is recovering, and we've been planting more trees, and praying for more rain.

This year, 2023, our priority is to replenish our water levels, regenerate the soil and nurture our tree plantation, therefore we are temporarily closed to focus on this.

More rain doesn’t look likely this year, and since our lakes aren’t as full as we’d like them, we’ll reserve that water for our trees. 💦💦💦

Our programme of events is on hold, as is taking bookings and accepting volunteers.

Thank you to all the beautiful souls who shared their light with us!
