Why did I accept this as normal?

I wasn’t questioning „the system” because I was taught to follow it „for my own good”. And it concerned every single aspect of my life: health, work, relationships, free time.
I didn’t wake up one day and decide to live like this. It happened slowly and I wasn’t noticing where is my life heading.

Now I see clearly that the practice of asking myself every day:

„Why am I doing this?”

is the best gift I can offer to myself.

You don’t have to be falling apart to go to therapy.

Here are 5 signs that therapy might be the most productive thing you do this year:

1. You feel „fine” but empty. No major crisis, just… nothing.
2. You’re exhausted from holding it together for everyone else.
3. You overthink every decision, replay conversations, and second-guess yourself constantly.
4. Your body is talking: headaches, tension, bloating, fatigue, and you’re ignoring it.
5. You can’t remember the last time you did something just for you without guilt.

It cost me my health and I’m not willing to pay that anymore.

I always saw my health as average. Every winter I’d catch a cold, my skin wasn’t perfect, and I regularly struggled with bloating. I never made it a big deal. I thought everyone had similar struggles, so why would I care? I just went on.

After 10 years in corporate, I discovered my body was suffering more than I knew - a thyroid nodule. And it wasn’t small.

They say people don’t change until the discomfort of staying the same becomes unbearable. This was my wake-up call. I live this life only once. I want it to be meaningful.

So I stopped chasing money. I opened my own practice, see a few clients a day, and spend the rest of my time cooking for family and being in nature. I’ve never been happier.

Maybe you’re on a similar path. You feel the need to change, but it seems out of reach. You can reach out for support. If I could get better, so can you.

And here’s the recipe for keto tiramisu:

Biscuits
50 g almond flour, 2 eggs (M), 2 tbsp erythritol (optional), pinch of salt

Separate eggs. Beat whites with salt until stiff. Add yolks, flour, erythritol, mix on low. Spoon into muffin tin. Bake at 180°C for 12 min. Cool.

Cream
120 ml espresso, 15 g Amaretto, 1 whole egg (M), 1 yolk (M), 35 g erythritol, pinch of salt, 250 g mascarpone, 2 tsp cocoa powder

Cool espresso, stir in Amaretto. Pour boiling water over eggs. Separate (1 white, 2 yolks). Beat yolks with erythritol for 7 min until fluffy. Add mascarpone. Beat white with salt until stiff, fold in.

Dip half the biscuits in coffee, layer in dish, dust with cocoa, spread half the cream. Repeat with remaining biscuits, cocoa, cream. Chill 3 hours. Enjoy!❤️

You told yourself some version of:

„I just need to push through.”
„I’ll rest when it’s done.”
„Other people manage, why can’t I?”

But what if the reason you can’t stop has nothing to do with discipline?

What if it’s something else entirely?

What if stopping feels more dangerous than exhaustion?

Somewhere in your story, maybe in childhood, maybe in that first high-pressure job, maybe in becoming a mother, your nervous system learned:

„If I stop, things will fall apart.”

„If I slow down, I’ll be useless.”

„If I’m not doing, I don’t deserve to rest.”

So now, even when there’s no emergency, your body still acts like there is.

That minor infection going on for a month already - this is a sign your body gives you.

It’s okay to stop and listen.

The good news is that you alone have all the resources to change. And one of the biggest resources you have is your body. If you are curious of how to use it to:
- Reduce stress
- Stop overthinking
- Manage anxiety
- Be able to just relax

If you’re doing this - you’re still in a hamster wheel:

1. Chasing experiences without integration: attending every workshop, retreat and ceremony. Collecting certificates from trainings becomes your addiction. Accumulation won’t bring awareness.
2. Listening to 10 podcasts and not making any change in life. Knowledge might stay with you, but what about putting it to practice?
3. Avoiding uncomfortable emotions by „being at peace with everything”. It’s uncomfortable to be human and no one can be at peace with everything. Most likely you are just suppressing emotions instead of actually processing them.
4. Focus on the knowledge and analyzing without just being. You can explain your emotional patterns because you’ve read 50 books about them. The hard part is to actually be and to actually feel.

No manifestation guru, no podcast and no book will do the work for you. But the good news is that you alone have all the resources to create the life that you want for yourself. And one of the biggest resources you have is your body. If you are curious of how to use this resource to:
- Reduce stress
- Stop overthinking
- Manage anxiety
- Build close and nurturing relationships

Do this when you feel stressed👇

Instead of trying to fix your brain with:
- affirming „I am not my thoughts”
- writing down how you feel
- looking for supporting beliefs

Drop these ideas and focus on your body.
Where is the tension? How do you feel it?
How does your body tell you that you’re stressed? Can you do something- a move, a gesture that would release the tension?

If you have an idea - do it VERY SLOWLY.

If not- look for the part of your body that feels more spacious and relaxed. Move your focus there.

By calming down your body you will calm down your mind. Don’t fight your mind, connect with your body.
