Unipartner was invited by Tagus Valley to participate in a session aimed at strengthening the cooperation between Portugal and Brazil in the fields of innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. 💡

The initiative brought together a delegation from the Brazilian Association of Science Parks and Business Incubators (ANPROTEC) composed of leaders from technology parks and public innovation agencies, as well as local stakeholders including Manuel Valamatos (Mayor of the Municipality of Abrantes), Professor Olinda Sequeira (Director of the School of Technology of Abrantes), and Pedro Saraiva (Executive Director of Tagus Valley) to promote institutional partnerships, enable knowledge exchange between innovation ecosystems, and foster collaboration and opportunities for the development of sustainability-focused solutions. 🍃

The central region of Portugal offers an excellent environment for the establishment and growth of innovative companies, supported by a dynamic academic environment that encourages collaboration between companies and educational institutions. Given our active role in the development of the Abrantes region, where one of our Centers of Competence is located, we were proud to share our mission, areas of expertise, and commitment to digital transformation, contributing to a vibrant exchange of ideas and knowledge.

This year’s event was significant as Associação Acreditar marks its 30th anniversary of supporting children with cancer and their families, providing vital emotional, social, and logistical care throughout every stage of their journey. ✨

Our team spent a wonderful afternoon with the children, sharing smiles and creating lasting memories. The celebration featured face painting that brought bursts of color and laughter, a delicious selection of sweet and savory treats for everyone to enjoy, and a creative workshop where each child had the opportunity to personalize their own Unipartner bottle — a unique gift to remember the day.

📚 During Portugal Smart Cities Summit, we had the pleasure of hosting the launch of a book on Digital Innovation and Interaction with Purpose! ✨ The book was supported by Unipartner and authored and coordinated by Cila Correia, responsible for managing citizen interaction and modernization areas at the Municipality of Viseu. This book explores the power of digital innovation can transform urban environments into smarter, more sustainable, efficient, and inclusive spaces.

The event featured a panel discussion with the recognized economist and manager Jaime Quesado, our President & CEO Fernando Reino da Costa, and the author Cila Correia, about the importance of driving innovation with the purpose of creating a positive impact on people's lives. 💡

It was a pleasure for us to share this moment with industry leaders such as Miguel de Castro Neto (Dean of the NOVA IMS Information management school), António Ramalho (President of the event’s venue - FIL), and so many others as well as partners and colleagues to reflect on the role of digital innovation in shaping the future of our cities.

🌆From June 3rd to 5th, Unipartner proudly took part in the Portugal Smart Cities Summit 2025, one of the main forums dedicated to urban transformation and innovation.
The event brings together municipalities, government entities, utilities, and technology leaders to explore how innovation is shaping more sustainable and people-centric Cities. 💡

We had the honor of welcoming several leaders to our stand, including the Minister of Infrastructure Miguel Pinto Luz, the President of Oeiras Municipality (Oeiras Valley) Isaltino Morais, the President of the Summit venue Antonio Ramalho, among many others.

Throughout the 3 days of summit, Unipartner led and participated in several initiatives:

🎥 TV panel discussion on Sustainable Cities – Our President & CEO, Fernando Reino da Costa, was invited to share his experience and insights on the main Portuguese public TV channel. The show (Sociedade Civil) was broadcasted from the event's Central Stage and presented by Luís Castro.

🎤 Conference on AI for Water Management - Our Data & AI Leader Rui Miguel, highlighted how AI-driven solutions can enhance efficiency, sustainability, and resilience in public utilities, offering a forward-looking vision for the modernization of the water sector.

☕ Thematic Coffee Sessions – Insightful roundtable sessions on themes such as Citizen Relationship Management, Agents and Chatbots for a better Public Service, Working Smarter with AI - Copilot, Threat Management, and Information Management with AI. During these sessions we shared several success stories, with contributions from Paulo Rego from the Municipality of Abrantes and Cila Correia from the Municipality of Viseu, who we would like to thank for their support.

📚 Book Launch about Digital Innovation and Interaction with Purpose – following Unipartner’s support to the book authored and coordinated by Cila Correia, leader at the Municipality of Viseu, we held a session to celebrate it's launch. The session featured a panel discussion with the recognized economist and manager Jaime Quesado, our Presidente & CEO and the Author about driving innovation with the purpose of creating positive impact on people's lives.
