Nikki & the Bunch have made it their mission to bring yoga to life through storytelling, giving kids the opportunity to fall in love with yoga 🌈

Kids love yoga and is becoming a popular form of exercise for children. Yoga through storytelling creates a new and engaging way for kids to feel the full benefits of yoga. Kids go on an adventure which incorporates yoga movement and breathing techniques in an exciting and fun setting. Creating poses through storytelling allows children to improve their mental well-being. Some of the poses are similar to that of an adult Hatha practice but adapted and re-named so they are more fun and suitable for kids to practice. Some examples are horse pose, monkey pose, bear pose, house pose, mermaid pose, aeroplane or a superhero pose. The story not only teaches Asanas and breathing techniques but encourages healthy eating, better decision making, encourages empathy, helps with self awareness and self control. Kids yoga introduces mindfulness, improves behavior, social interaction and relationships, academic performance and memory. It also reduces stress and anxiety. As children develop and get older, their yoga practice will develop and they will practice a more adult type of yoga. This often happens around the age of ten. Children start to feel more grown up and like to be challenged.
