"Boundaries are a prerequisite for compassion and empathy. We can’t connect with someone unless we’re clear about where we end and they begin. If there’s no autonomy between people, then there’s no compassion or empathy, just enmeshment."
from The Atlas Of The Heart By Brené Brown
In Ayurveda, the skin is seen as our first boundary. It is the place where we meet the world and, at the same time, return to ourselves.
Through the conscious touch of Ayurvedic massage this boundary can be gently rediscovered. Not as something to overcome, but as something to feel more clearly.
In the body, boundaries are not an idea; they are a sensation.
And as this sensation becomes clearer, a different quality of presence can emerge: more grounded, more autonomous, more available for connection.
Sometimes, this is where a quiet form of self-knowing begins.
