What’s in a name?

When we first arrived at this land in 2015, the silence was complete, the beauty raw. Our builders called it Matos dos Moinhos—a nod to the ancient mills hidden in the woods. It was a good name. But it didn’t feel quite right.

Then, by chance, we found a sketch done by the architect.

A simple note: Tinhela 610 m.

That number stayed with us. It turned out to be the river’s elevation in meters—and part of the Fibonacci sequence, nature’s sacred pattern that shows up in pinecones, sunflowers, and the spiral of time itself.

And just like that, the name came to us: Tinhela610.

A name rooted in place, but also in pattern.
A rhythm. A way of seeing the land—and our role on it—differently.

Our firepit sits at the heart of a spiral.
Our cabins are numbered in Fibonacci order.
Every choice we make here is guided by nature's own design.

Come visit. Listen. Notice.
You might just hear the land naming you back.
