Many people come to me saying, “I eat healthy but my weight just doesn’t change.”
The truth is, weight gain is often not just about calories or discipline. Sometimes the real issue is hidden deeper in the body.
In this case, when we looked at the blood reports, we found elevated homocysteine, low vitamin B12 and thyroid imbalance.
These markers can affect metabolism, energy levels, inflammation and the body’s ability to burn fat efficiently. When these underlying issues are present, even strict dieting may not give lasting results.
Instead of starting with extreme calorie restriction, we focused on correcting the root causes—supporting nutrient levels, improving metabolic function and addressing the internal imbalances reflected in the reports.
When the body receives the right support, metabolism begins to respond better, energy improves and weight loss becomes more sustainable.
This is why in my practice I focus on a Functional Medicine and Clinical Nutrition approach. Rather than only focusing on the scale, we look at the body as a whole and identify what may be blocking progress.
If you have tried multiple diets but still struggle with weight, your body may need a deeper approach.
