Ali I Shorbagi - Gastroenterology Consultant - MD FEBGH

European Board (FEBGH) certified Gastroenterology Consultant and
Experienced Endoscopist (50.000+ endoscopic procedures) at Turkish Hospital Doha. Born on 30 June 1979 in Khartoum, Sudan, I spent my early years in Dubai. I graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School, Dubai, in 1994, and in the same year commenced my medical education at the Faculty of Medicine in Hacettepe University. After attaining the title of “Doctor of Medicine” in 2000, I was awarded the titles of “Specialist of Internal Medicine” in 2007 and of “Specialist of Gastroenterology” in 2011. In the same year, I commenced my duties as an academic staff member at Near East University, and by 2014 I had attained the title of "Associate Professor of Medicine". After successfully fulfilling the necessary requirements, I have attained the title of "Fellow of the European Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology" in October 2016. I was the general secretary for the 18. World Congress of the International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists (IASGO) held in Istanbul in 2008. I have numerous scientific papers in esteemed national and international medical journals and am also a member of several Gastroenterological associations. Topics of interest: viral and autoimmune hepatitis, gastro-esophageal reflux disease, diseases of the stomach, inflammatory bowel diseases and endoscopic interventions.
