The event was successfully implemented and concluded on 8th of June 2018, before the Holy month of Ramadan ends.
Al Jaber Opticians started to sponsor the event since 2011 through the initiative of its Employee (Founder of the event) who was an active Member of Qatar Volunteer, in memory of the late founder of the Company, Mr. Jassim Hassan Al Jaber. The owners continually provides full support to the event from sponsoring the Ifthar Food packs and dinner for the volunteers, accommodating all volunteers without discriminations. All through the years of supporting the event, it helps building teamwork, unity and harmony among the volunteers. They believe that working with the community for a cause is more beneficial and rewarding.
The organizer delegates tasks to each volunteer to ensure that the purposes of the event are being served. To campaign traffic awareness to all the motorists and commuters, to distribute Ifthar food packs and to unite the volunteers are the main focus of the campaign.
The volunteers enjoyed the event with a sense of fulfillment, withstanding the hot weather condition along the dusty roads at the Old airport Road, Ramada and Bin Omran.
This year's almost 140 attendees from different nationalities includes volunteers from Egypt, India, Indonesia Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, and Sri Lanka. Two youngest volunteers (6 & 8 years old) and The United Filipino Organizations in Qatar (UFOQ's) Chairman and Vice Chairman have joined the event as well.
Gender, spiritual and occupations disparities builts trusts between and among the volunteers.
The volunteers' contributions on this event are countless and priceless, highly appreciated and recognized individuals. They have built a legacy worthy to pass on to the next generations to come.
Supportive sponsors, United volunteers, having no injuries and accidents marks the huge success of the event.
