Guardians Legion Qatar (GLQ) is the umbrella / alliance of all GUARDIANS branches that had the affiliation from the Philippine Embassy. It was founded on November 08, 2008 by the united and selfless efforts and eagerness of the leaders from five (5) different branches, namely; GBI, RUGBI, DGPI, GRII & GPII-ACO. They were led by Petronilo “SMFGMFC KOBRA-2” Polpol of Guardians Brotherhood Inc. (GBI) (2009-2011) and the late Nilo "NF TERONG" Tercero of RUGBI (2008-2009). Term-sharing in the chairmanship was happened between the two of them during their time and so we recognized both of them as the Founding Chairmen of the organized group. It was recognized as one of the Fililipino Community in State of Qatar by the embassy in 2009. At present, there are twenty two (22) GUARDIANS branches were already recognized under the strong and united Guardians Legion Qatar & had their respective affiliation in the Philippine embassy & has more than 1,500 active bonafide members. These are GBI, GBHFI/1GANAP, RUGBII, CAGBII, GFCII, GGBAI, 1GANAP, PGBI, GPII-ACO, GRII, GPII-SUC, GBI-MAINSTREAM, TGBI-TO, DGPI, PGDI, GUILD, G.I. 10th WING, GSSI, RUGBI, LGIPA, Inc., PGII & GGGBAI. Introduced branches were ADMGII, GI 17th DIVISION & PRGBII. Four (4) other chairmen/president who had served the organization were Ramonito “PCRCGMF VIRGO” Roxas of GPII-SUC (2011-2013), Manuel “CNF STALLION” Camato (2013) of RUGBII, Chairman Engr. Rolan “FRMG BONGBONG” Nevado of GBHFI/1GANAP( 2013-2017) and the incumbent Chairman/President Gilbert "NF LF" Guimmayen of GUILD (2017-2019). GLQ’s motto is; “Diversified GUARDIANS With A Common Purpose" It is one of the most active Filipino Community in Qatar wherein it supports all activities and programs of the Philippine embassy. It responses all the request of volunteers/marshalls for Safety and Security and other things required to do all the times. It has built, painted and gained also its legacy of offering its open hand for assistance to our Kababayans and to Distressed OFW in POLO-OWWA by conducting Outreach Programs not less than twice a year or as many as the number of branches under the alliance annually and giving some free plane tickets. We had led Free Medical Missions several times with the help of FMA-Q, PNAQ, PAPhQ & the UFOQ. We’ve been conducting also Beach Clean-up Programs from time to time in different beaches of Qatar. Conducting technical trainings & seminars also is one of our program like Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE), Leadership, Advocacy, VIP Security & many more for the members.
Guardians Legion Qatar (GLQ) conducted its election of officers every two (2) years. All elected officers are entitled for a 2-year term. All positions are entitled for re-election.
