Michael Mannstadt 🇺🇸 este invitatul meu de suflet la acest simpozion. Ne-am cunoscut în 1995 la Mass General, pe când lucram amândoi în Endocrine Unit sub coordonarea legendarului profesor Hank Kronenberg, editor de Williams. Amândoi am fost dedicați biologiei parathormonului, Michael fiind acum șeful Endocrine Unit și profesor la Harvard. Sunt onorat și mândru că Michael a răspuns cu entuziasm invitației mele. Michael Mannstadt, M.D., is Chief of the Endocrine Unit at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Associate Professor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, USA. His clinical and research interests focus on diseases of bone and mineral metabolism. He is particularly interested in hypoparathyroidism, and his NIH-funded research spans the basic, translational, and clinical realms of the disease. Mannstadt has served on numerous committees for the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research and the Advances in Mineral Metabolism, as Co-Chair of the International Workshop in Hypoparathyroidism and Primary Hyperparathyroidism and former President of Advances of Mineral Metabolism (AIMM). Mannstadt is an active physician in the Endocrine Associates Practice at the MGH, focusing on patients with disorders of calcium and phosphate metabolism. He serves as a clinical advisor for the national patient group
