📌Evenimentul marchează lansarea campaniei de conștientizare dedicate sprijinirii copiilor care au suferit pierderi în familie, desfășurată în perioada 𝟭𝟳 – 𝟮𝟯 𝗻𝗼𝗶𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱. Campania reunește o serie de evenimente, ateliere și sesiuni de informare menite să atragă atenția asupra nevoilor emoționale și psihologice ale acestor copii.

În România, mii de copii trăiesc cu trauma pierderii unui părinte sau a unei persoane dragi. Efectele pe termen lung – anxietate, depresie, dificultăți de adaptare – sunt adesea trecute cu vederea. Prin această campanie, Asociația „Există viață după doliu” își propune să aducă în prim-plan nevoile reale ale copiilor îndoliați și să mobilizeze comunitatea în jurul lor, oferindu-le sprijin emoțional și resurse de reziliență.

Vă așteptăm cu drag să ne fiți alături pentru a da voce acestor copii și pentru a contribui la schimbarea percepției asupra durerii și vindecării în copilărie!

In this webinar, Zefiro Mellacqua returns to Berne’s scientific appraisal of the emergence in the 1950s and 1960s of psychedelic science, on which Berne founded his unique conceptualization of psychic organs, ego states, cathexis, and his later, as well as preliminary, considerations of the farthest frontiers of transactional analysis, to which he gave the suggestive name of “regression analysis” (Berne, 1961/1975, pp. 224–231).Through a brief history of psychedelic psychiatry, Zefiro will introduce webinar participants to the most recent resurgence of psychedelic science and with that to a more contemporary, yet psychodynamically as well neurobiologically informed, reconsideration of some of the most fundamental ideas of transactional analysis theory and of their possible future applications in the field of psychotherapy and clinical psychiatry.

✨About the Presenter

Dr. Zefiro Mellacqua is the Medical Director of the Cantonal Psychiatric Clinic (CPC ) in Mendrisio, Switzerland. A medical doctor, psychiatrist, and Certified Transactional Analyst (psychotherapy) by training, he worked as psychiatrist and psychotherapist for the South London and Maudsley National Health Service Foundation Trust in London (UK) and as a consultant psychiatrist in Switzerland. He implemented the first home treatment team in Canton Ticino. Zefiro is also a clinical lecturer at the SUPSI University and USI Faculty of Biomedical Sciences in Lugano, Switzerland. He is the recipient of the 2024 Eric Berne Memorial Award.

🚨Scientists have confirmed that Schizophrenia’s “voices” are the brain mishearing its own thoughts.

In a breakthrough study, neuroscientists have confirmed a long-suspected theory about schizophrenia: the "voices" many patients hear aren't imaginary external threats, but the brain misinterpreting its own internal thoughts.

Using EEG to track brainwave activity, researchers at the University of New South Wales found that in people with schizophrenia who experience hallucinations, the brain's ability to distinguish self-generated speech from external sound breaks down. Normally, when we speak silently in our heads, the brain dampens activity in the auditory cortex to filter out the expected sound. But in these individuals, that dampening doesn’t occur. Instead, their auditory cortex activates—as if someone else is speaking.

The study involved 142 participants and revealed that when people with auditory hallucinations imagined saying a word while hearing it through headphones, their brains overreacted. This suggests a failure in the brain's prediction system, leading it to misclassify internal dialogue as external speech. This finding not only deepens our understanding of schizophrenia’s root causes but could also pave the way for early diagnostic tools that detect these neural misfires before full psychosis develops. Such early intervention could transform how clinicians approach and treat schizophrenia.
