Together with public institutions and civil society, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) implemented an initiative to strengthen sustainable cooperation in support of victims of trafficking. The effort contributes directly to the National Anti‑Trafficking Strategy 2024–2028 and is funded by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland through the Modern Slavery Fund.
In this context, on 17–18 March 2026, IOM, in partnership with the Ministry of Labour, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity and the National Agency against Trafficking in Persons (ANITP), organized a capacity‑building event for specialists from social assistance and child protection services across the country.
The event brought together representatives of relevant authorities, decision‑makers and experts in counter‑trafficking and victim assistance, facilitating constructive dialogue and the exchange of good practices. The working sessions offered participants the opportunity to develop and refine the skills needed when working with victims.
This initiative reaffirms the partners’ commitment to strengthening cooperation mechanisms and ensuring a coordinated, effective response in support of victims of trafficking.
