A study you probably haven't seen — but should.
MIT researchers tracked 1.1 million runners across social networks over five years.
Published in Nature Communications.
What they found: exercise is socially contagious.
When someone in your network ran 10 minutes more than usual, you ran 3 minutes longer yourself.
Not because of a fitness app. Not because of a push notification. Because of a real person.
And the effect was strongest between people at a similar level, your peers influence you more than elites do.
This isn't motivational fluff.
This is one of the largest exercise studies ever published.
It's also the reason MotionHive exists.
We're not building another tracking app.
We're building the community layer that makes this effect possible for everyone.
