🦃 Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends celebrating today!
Today is all about gratitude, and I want to take a moment to say how grateful I am for this community and your commitment to your health.
I know holidays can be tricky when you are working on reversing Fatty Liver Diseas (MASLD). The table is full, the smells are amazing, and the temptation is real!
But remember: Gratitude isn't just for the people around the table; it's for your body, too.
Your liver works hard for you every single day. The best way to say "Thank You" to your body today is with kindness and moderation.
3 Simple Tips for a Liver-Friendly Thanksgiving:
Veggie First: Fill half your plate with green beans, Brussels sprouts, or salad before adding the heavier sides.
Hydrate: Alternate every other drink with a big glass of water. Ideally, stick to water only (and no alcohol whatsoever!)
No Guilt: If you indulge a little, don't beat yourself up. Stress is bad for the liver, too! Just get back on track with your next meal!
Enjoy the family time, enjoy the food, and be proud of the steps you are taking toward a healthier future.
