Who is this course for?

This course is designed for:

Newcomers to the Dzogchen Community

Those who have attended retreats with Namkhai Yeshi

Any practitioner who wishes to deepen their understanding of Dzogchen and its living context

What is this course?

First Steps on the Path offers a clear and structured introduction to the essential elements of Dzogchen practice as transmitted by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu and Namkhai Yeshi.

It provides a solid foundation for understanding:

The meaning of Direct Introduction and transmission

The main practices commonly used in the Dzogchen Community

The path of Santi Maha Sangha, with particular emphasis on preparation for the Base level

Discussion & Sharing space:

The Sangha App channel “First steps on the path” will always be available to ask questions, share materials, and interact with teachers and fellow practitioners.

How we will practice

Duration: 6 months

Meetings: every Monday or Sunday

We will practice together regularly and progressively, guided step by step

The course goes through the most essential practices of the Dzogchen Community, as given by Rinpoche and Namkhai Yeshi

Practicing together, with continuity and guidance, is an essential support for integrating the teachings into daily life.

The Sky Mandala of Your Life: Namkha Workshop
With Migmar Tsering & Elena Kalistova in Merigar East

What is a Namkha?

In Tibetan, Namkha means space, but also refers to a sacred object made of five-colored threads, representing the elements of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water.

A personal Namkha reflects your own life energies based on your birth elements. It is traditionally used to harmonize and balance the elements in your body and circumstances.

Dear friends,
Together with our friends at Namdagling, Warsaw DC, we are very happy to invite you to a precious opportunity to deepen your understanding and practice of Khorde Rushen, according to the Root Ta**ra Dra Thalgyur from the Dzogchen Upadesha series.

This retreat is a replay of teachings given by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche at Merigar East in 2008. The teachings will be presented in audio format, and will be accompanied by live commentary and clarification from SMS Instructor Elías Capriles.

The retreat will unfold in two important parts:

Part 1: Recordings with Rinpoche and Commentary
Warsaw DC onsite & Online - 13-17 August
During this first part, we will watch recordings of the retreat “Name of the Retreat”, originally given by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche in 2008 at Merigar East. After each session, Elias Capriles will join onsite in Warsaw DC and online, offering commentaries, explanations, and answering your questions.
To join the first part onsite, please contact the Namdagling Gakyil for accommodation, schedule, and practical info.

Part 2: Explanation and Rushen Practice Retreat
Merigar East onsite & Online - 20-25 August
The second part will focus on the explanation and collective practice of Rushen, guided onsite by Elias Capriles. This is a precious opportunity to deepen your understanding through direct experience.

You can participate in the full retreat or attend one of the parts, either onsite at the location most convenient for you, or fully online.
