YOGA OF PRESENCE (former Yogilates) - a practice that brings harmony in both, the body and the mind, allowing us to perceive, to notice and to be interested in Presence, the invisible 'current' underneath everything that is.

Most of us spend our lives rushing, thinking, planning, worrying, always trying to keep up.

Our yoga practice is an opportunity to pause for a moment.

🧘🏻🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🏻‍♂️ 🤍 ❇️

Through movement, breathing, attention, and quiet moments, we learn how to slow down, reconnect with the body, calm the mind, and take better care of ourselves.

So the classes are not only about stretching or exercise. They are also about learning simple and useful tools that we can bring into our everyday lives, so we can live with a little more balance, clarity, and presence.

Take the decision to see everything that happens to you, and I mean everything, as a means to help you grow, evolve, and mature.

To see that nothing is by chance, but that everything is destiny. See life this way, and feel the sense of freedom it brings.

With this small change, the whole of life becomes an adventure, not because it is easy, but because it becomes meaningful.

* SCHEDULE UPDATE * 🌿
Along the regular classes at MiMA and Palatul Universul, I'm happy to introduce a new class at Kaya Holistic Sfinților (Str. Sfinților 6) and, when the weather allows it, on Saturday we will move our practice in Izvor Park starting 11:00 AM — stillness, presence, and nature all around ☀️

Our yoga classes remain available online as well, please DM me for the link in Zoom at least 15 minutes before the class.

Being present — being more aware, attentive, connected to the moment — is not just useful (and it is very useful); it is also the doorway to a deeper understanding of ourselves and of life. Without it, we remain at the surface of things.

Life is a continuous movement. Life is what comes, what stays for a while and what goes; we connot control it.

But how we relate to it - with grace, with fear, or with attachment - this is up to us.

We need to relearn how to remember ourselves — to return to a quiet, open sense of being.

At first, this means remembering the body and taking care of it. It also means remembering the mind, the person we take ourselves to be, and becoming aware of its needs and difficulties.

But we don’t have to stop there.
If we stay attentive, we may notice something deeper:
the simple presence that is aware of both body and mind.

It is here that we truly find ourselves.

We do not see the world directly as it is; we see the world as our brain constructs it.

The eyes only gather light, but it is the brain, guided by the mind, that turns that light into a picture of the world, using memory and expectations shaped by our deeper beliefs.

If the mind is shaped by fear, we tend to notice a fearful world. If the mind is shaped by love, we tend to notice a more loving world 🤍

Discipline is not about being hard on ourselves. It’s simply about doing what we know is right for us.

Some days our mood is not quite there, the weather may not help, energy comes and goes, and many reasons show up telling us not to do it — even when, deep down, we know that doing it, whatever it is, actually helps.

When we let inconveniences or our own laziness decide for us, little by little we lose trust in ourselves. But when we still show up, even if it’s not easy, something strengthens inside — not just the body, but more importantly, the relationship we have with ourselves.

Yoga is not just what we do on the mat.
It is the way we live each moment of our lives, in both small things and big ones.

It is the way we connect — with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us. With food, money, clothes, our own thoughts and emotions, and also with the thoughts and emotions of others. That connection can take many forms: eating far more than we need, or eating with balance and discipline; hurting someone, or treating them with kindness; being lost in distraction, or being present and aware.

Yoga is being aware of how we relate to life, and letting that awareness guide us toward our highest possibilities as human beings.

Become a yogi. Bring presence into your life.
