Culoarea azur este dată în acest moment de un proces de înflorire (înmulțire semnificativă) a algelor fitoplactonice din grupul Coccolithophore. Densitatea algelor microscopice este în acest caz de peste 500.000 de celule /litrul de apă marină.

Our Story

Tapu family (meaning the "goats") decided to leave the city more than 15 years ago and we chose the small village of Vama Veche. In winter, there are only 282 people living here, but in the summer, more than 5.000 people come to Vama Veche every weekend for the beach parties, so the locals share their houses. If you ever wished you had your own home by the sea, you can try Casa de la mare (The house by the sea).

The house is conveniently located in a quiet area but also very close to the beach and all the night parties. (300 meters to Stuff Vama Veche).

The house has a generous yard space and a well equipped summer kitchen is also available. The coffee and the drinks (within a responsible limit :D ) are on the house.

COVID-19 UPDATE:

We have all been recently impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic which forced us to change the way we live our lives, including the way we travel and do tourism. We would like to take a few minutes of your time to inform you what you can expect from us during you stay, in the context of the COVID-19 prevention measures.

Before you come:

Make sure you and your travel companions do not have any flu-like symptoms. If any of you do have them, please do not come, as we will not be allowed to welcome you as our guest.

Make sure you and your party have the Identification cards with you.

Check-in process:

Upon arrival, all guests will be checked using a digital thermo scanner. The scan is harmless to you and your skin. The equipment is properly calibrated and maintained. If your skin temperature is 37oC or more, we will ask you to travel to the nearest hospital (Mangalia, about 10km) and be tested. It is possible that your skin may be hot due to sun exposure. In this case, we will allow you some time to cool off and we will repeat the scan.

We will collect your personal data (your ID, phone number, and e-mail address) and we will keep it in an offline and secure manner. We will use this data in the exclusive case where the authorities will conduct an epidemiologic inquiry, should any case of COVID-19 infection be reported on our premises. With this exception, we assure you that we will not use your personal data for any marketing purposes and we will not sell or share this information with any individual or organization.

Our check-out and check-in policies have changed to allow a minimum of 4 hours between you and the guest who stayed before you. During these hours, we will prepare the room for you in the safest possible manner, using certified disinfectants and an UV-C lamp for at least 1 (one) hour. For safety reasons, we will remove the UV-C lamp before you arrive.

Check-in: not earlier than 16:00h

Check-out: not later than 12:00h

Any early check-in and/or late check-out requests will be subject to availability.

During your stay:

There are two disinfectant gel dispensers available for our guests, one at the entrance to the property and the second on to the summer kitchen door. We encourage you to use them each time you pass by them, as well as the soap dispensers in your room.

Outside guests will not be allowed on our property and we ask you to respect this policy.

We will arrange the tables on the terrace in a safe way, to ensure the social distancing between our guests. We ask you not to move the tables from their designated place.

If, during your stay, you start having flu-like symptoms (dry cough, high temperature, tiredness, sore throat) please stay in your room and contact our staff (phone numbers available in room).

In case of any medical emergency, please call 112.

Finally, our staff will wear a face mask at all times, but rest assure, we are always smiling ☺

After your stay:

Within the first 14 days after your check-out, if you start showing symptoms like the ones mentioned above, please follow the measures outlined by your health authorities and please notify us so we can help the epidemiological inquiry, if needed.
