This is the main goal of the Startup Tour 2022 contest that is taking place from 11 March to 28 April in 10 Russian cities.

The prize is 300 000 rubles. Also, the winner will have a chance to present its project at the Startup Village 2022 conference.

The programme includes a virtual exhibition of companies as well as various seminars and workshops. The regional finals are planned in an offline format. There are 3 nominations available:

► information technology
► biotechnology in medicine and agriculture
► industrial and energy technology

The cities that host the event are as follows: Saransk,Novosibirsk, Khabarovsk, Yakutsk, Irkutsk, Kazan, Perm, Arkhangelsk, Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog and Saratov.

Russia-Pakistan – boosting cooperation 🤝

Finally, a piece of positive news! The Prime Minister of Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Imran Khan, has visited Russia. This event can pave the way to a new level of collaboration between the countries in different spheres, including technology.

The Skolkovo Foundation and the Special Technology Zones Authority of Pakistan have signed a Letter of Intent. The main aim is to:

➤ establish linkages among academic institutions
➤ strengthen business relations
➤ promote online and offline technology activities
➤ enhance scientific and innovative institutions and enterprises
➤ facilitate the national development strategy 2024 and 2030 of the Russian Federation
➤ help Pakistan in achieving its goal of becoming a technology leader in the region, especially in the areas of circular economy, low carbon development projects, clean energy and digital transformation.

❌ Say “No” to wrinkles: Japanese scientists have tested the first anti-ageing vaccine. It helps to get rid of disease-causing cells.

🛰 As fast as it gets: China has developed its own space internet – it's 5 times faster than Ilon Musk's Starlink. The goal is to roll out its own global satellite network.

The aerial zone for unmanned flights was tested at Skolkovo ✅

It became possible due to the first Russian platform “Nebosvod” by “Aeroscript”, the Skolkovo resident. The participants managed to:

► work out services to integrate drones into the common RuSPACE airspace
► create a special zone for drone flights in Skolkovo. It will take only 15 minutes (or even less) to approve the flight in the zone.

The plan is to make the system 100% automated.

The test was supported by the Skoltech Space Centre and the Government of Moscow. It can be regarded as an important step towards the safe usage of drones in the urban environment. 👏

The story of success: Russian biotech startup receives a round of investment ✅

Target Medicals, a Skolkovo resident, has succeeded in attracting investment from pharma giant AstraZeneca, Unicorn Capital Partners and RDIF.

The Target Medicals team is developing a drug that treats resistant arterial hypertension, chronic heart failure and coronary heart disease.

Target Medicals has come a long way:

🔘 It was founded by a group of scientists together with physician and entrepreneur Alexey Klyuchenovich.

🔘 In 2012 it got Skolkovo resident status; the Foundation's grant support is 38.9 million rubles.

🔘 In 2018 it became the first graduate of the joint accelerator of the Skolkovo Foundation and AstraZeneca.

The current investment is a further step – actually, the big and unprecedented one. 🎉

Stars, planets and ads the size of three moons: what will we see in the night sky in a few years? 🪐

The future is inevitably coming. Russian companies continue to conquer outer space, implementing the most incredible projects. One of them is the "Neone" project by Space Media .

The team plans to launch a swarm of microsatellites into orbit to broadcast messages from space. All microsatellites are equipped with lasers, which will show an encoded message to Earth by blinking.

For example, you will see Olympic rings in the sky, direct your phone to them with the opened Avant Space app and you will get the breaking news — the opening of the Olympic Games has already started 👍🏼

The project will fully launch in 2024. This year the team plans to test the technology and get confirmation that the system is working properly.

Yandex.Rovers are going to conquer the streets of Seoul 🇰🇷

Yandex together with KT Corporation, South Korea's largest telecom company, will launch autonomous robots delivery as early as this year.

South Korea will be the first country in East Asia where Yandex.Rovers will appear. It is the country with the highest demand for last-mile delivery in the world. KT Corporation hopes to cooperate with Yandex in other business areas as well 👍

Yandex robots are already delivering orders in Moscow, St. Petersburg and the United States, and will soon appear in Dubai.

The total volume of deliveries by Yandex mobile couriers exceeds 85 thousand in Russia and the USA. More to come! 🚀

"Technology for Prosperity by the Skolkovo Foundation" program at 👇

The program featured a panel discussion on the theme: “Industrialization and Sustainability: Challenges and Opportunities’’. Researchers assume the industrial revolution to have the largest negative environmental footprint. Yet, the new industrial revolution has presented great emerging technologies like IoT, Big Data and AI. 🌐

Following the panel session, eight Skolkovo sustain-tech startups demonstrated their solutions to a jury: RSC Ecopromtech, Sreda, VOLTS Battery Middle East , Offsetted , Yablochkov, Avant Space Media, Bioenergy и Geoalert .

The pitch session was moderated by Leena Abu-mukh Zoabi , Head for International Cooperation at the Skolkovo Foundation. Jury selected Bioenergy as “The Winner of Skolkovo Pitch session at GMIS 2021”. The Startup will get an invitation to join , an acknowledgment in the GMIS Final report and a free ticket to Nobel Vision. Open Innovations 2.0 🙌
