The COVID-19 pandemic has revived discussions about the social contract. It is able to have a tangible impact on the political life of the state, largely due to the fact that citizens more or less equally understand this treaty, and therefore act in accordance with it. Why the Ukrainian society has not developed a clear vision of the social contract, describes a political psychologist, Ph.D. Svetlana Chunikhina

The Ukrainian borders have been a constant source of tension in Europe over the past 8 years. The greatest danger to Ukrainian statehood is the borders with Russia, the Republic of Belarus and the unrecognized Transnistria, while the western neighbourhood remain the "border of peace." In the face of a common threat, even the territorial disputes between Ukraine and Romania faded into the background. Andrey Veselovskiy writes about this complex border of the second largest country in Europe

How may the generation of millennials the socio-political outline of the West and global civilization as a whole? What will be this "demographic" transit in Europe and Russia? Will it deepen the socio-cultural gap between us, or contribute to its reduction?
Evgeniy Gontmakher and Alexandr Sogomonov summed up the results of our big project "Millenials. Who are they? Will they change the world?". They painted a portrait of a modern Russian born between 1981 and 1996. A very little time will pass, and this generation will take a leading position in politics, business, the social sphere, management, and creative industries

Belarusian writer and Nobel laureate Svetlana Alexievich left Belarus more than a year ago. At that time it seemed to her that it was only for a few months. The reality turned out to be different. Now she lives in Berlin, where she is working on a new book about the events of 2020 in Belarus. That year, the writer says, made her fall in love with her own people. "You look at these faces, and you realize that this is the country you would like to live in," she wrote after one of the August marches
