Voicemails or texts?

This is the "What hurts?" thread 😅.

Why I don't approve of voice messages:

1️⃣ I am not comfortable listening to them. I can be around people, watching a webinar, etc., and listening to voice messages in those moments is not comfortable. So you will get a response later than those who write 🤷🏼‍♀️

2⃣ Not everyone knows how to be clear and concise. When you write a message, you make it much simpler, and you take out parasitic words, it's not always nice to hear profanity or solid "eh....."🙉

3⃣ Summary or listen to it 1,000 times. It's hard to find the right and important points in a message, especially if it involves numbers. The voice message needs to be listened to constantly to find the right one, which is especially difficult to do if there are speech defects or the person is just chewing while recording. Bottom line: if a voice message is 5 minutes long, you can spend 40 minutes or even an hour just on this point (sorry😭)

4⃣ Respect for time. We all value our time, my time is just as important as yours.

Those are probably the main points why I don't like voice messages, if I remember anything else I'll be sure to share 😅.

Why is it so expensive, since it's a 5-minute job? 🤯

Very often I and my colleagues hear this phrase. Let's understand the issue of pricing, and what stages a project goes through before the customer sees it for the first time.

Very often people estimate only the technical part of the project. Yes, it can be simple, and completed in 1 day or even a couple of hours. But behind the technical part, there is something more: an IDEA. And it takes much more time to find it. Sometimes the idea comes in 1 day, and sometimes in a week. An idea doesn't visit us or dream about it at night unless we make the effort. We build the foundation for its birth brick by brick.
To become a good idea builder we constantly dive into training, books, techniques, and exercises, we delve into different areas to understand how to strengthen our foundations - all this incurs time and money costs.

So what else, past training, goes into the pricing. Of course, there are software license bills, subscriptions to numerous graphic resources, PC maintenance, electricity, and Internet bills. And only after this minimum comes the payment for the designer himself.

I hope I was able to briefly answer the question that so often pops into everyone's head 😊

Hi all, I'm not missing, I'm still here 😉
The reasons for my absence are two. Work (lots of work), and a much-anticipated vacation.

Of course, we wouldn't be us if we went and spent the vacation without adventures, but that's another story.
