Pregnancy is a very exciting period in the life of every woman.
It is not surprising that around such a unique event there are a huge number of different myths and prejudices.
1. Pregnant women should eat "for two."
⠀
The US Institute of Medicine claims that if a woman has a healthy weight, then in the 1st trimester, additional calories are not needed. In the 2nd trimester, it is worth adding 340 kcal per day to the diet, in the 3rd - about 450. This is a pair of glasses of kefir with a handful of seeds or a cheese sandwich.
Therefore, you need not eat more, but eat right.
2. Girls "in position" are always attracted to salted.
⠀
The body of a pregnant woman can require the missing nutrients and minerals in a very strange way. Another reason for bizarre gastronomic addictions lies in hormonal differences, and sometimes just in the desire to treat yourself.
At the same time, it can pull both on salty, and on sweet or sour, and sometimes all at once.
By the way, chocolate takes the first place in the list of favorite products of pregnant girls.
3. Gym, hiking and pool? No, only peace and quiet!
If the pregnancy is proceeding normally, regular exercise is even necessary. Sport will help keep yourself in good shape, will benefit the baby's development, facilitate the process of childbirth and help to return to shape faster after them. Everything is thought out by nature: during pregnancy, a woman's muscles and tendons become more elastic and resilient.
