I have been a qualified General Nurse since 1999 and subsequently qualified as a Midwife in 2004. I started my profession in Ireland but moved to Saudi Arabia in April 2006. Here I began working in the Obstetrics and Gynecology ward at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital. Initially I started as a staff nurse and then was promoted to a Clinical Nurse Coordinator. During my time in Jeddah I have als
o lectured in Midwifery and General Nursing at Dar Al Hekma College, presented at an International Nursing Conference and briefly worked for the Saudi Royal Family. Most importantly though is that I met my husband Tim here and together we have three beautiful children, Connor, Ella and Keenan. Midwifery is my passion. It is a truly humbling experience, and a great honour, when families ask me for guidance during and after their pregnancy, to help them bring a new life into the world. Parenthood can be quite daunting but as I mother of three myself, I know that a little reassurance can go a long way. This is why I hope that Birthing Innocence™ will continue to be of benefit to couples around the world.
