Provide quality, innovative, flexible, cost effective and customer oriented healthcare facilities Management and Operation. The estimated built up area of the Hospital building is approximately 18,000sqm over 9 floors. The proposed facility will be a multispecialty hospital
focusing on Women’s and Child Health services. The following is the Client’s proposed facility mix for the project:
• Diagnostic Centre (Imaging and Laboratory)
• Primary Care and multispecialty outpatient clinic
• Women’s and Children’s Centre of Excellence with specialty clinics and 120 bed inpatient facility for women, all female and male children below the age of 12 years old.
• Small emergency department
The design is to entail extreme high-end finish and workmanship with the goal of establishing a center of excellence within the Saudi Arabia health sector
The spaces to be included in the interior design are to be as follows:
The following medical specialties will be represented at the facility.
• Out Patient Primary Care with Specialty Clinics
• Women/Child Centre with some outpatient clinics
• Diagnostic Centre
• Emergency Department
The OB/GYN, IVF, Plastic and cosmetic outpatient clinics should be located such that they are accessible for women only and situated near the inpatient women and children’s center the medical/surgical inpatient services are for women/children. Surgery for women and children (males less than 12years of age) will consist of:
• General Surgery
• Bariatric Surgery
• Plastic Surgery
• OB/GYN
• ENT surgery
• orthopedic surgery
• Endoscopy (to be used by men and women and should be located in the outpatient clinics with access to OR).
• 4 x Labor and Delivery Suites (with access to OR). The Diagnostic Center will provide lab and imaging services for the Primary Care and Specialty Clinic patients as well as the Women and Child Center patients. It will also be available for patients referred from other facilities. Specialty spaces will need to be provided for the following imaging equipment:
• MRI 1.5 TESLA
• CT scanner 256 Slices
• Fluoroscopy System
• RAD (Routine X-RAY)
• Mammography (could be located in women’s center or Diagnostic Centre)
• PET-CT System
• Ultrasound Unit (units in diagnostic center and Women’s center)
• Bone Densitometer
• Cyclotron
Consideration is to be given to expansion for future radiotherapy to be located near to the PET scan and within the shielded sector. Although not included in the hospitals initial operation future consideration regarding space and loads needs to be given to the following equipment:
• PET MRI
• Cath lab
• Gamma camera
The laboratory will house the following:
• Automated Comprehensive Biochemistry Analyzer
• Automated Hematology Analyzer
• Basic PCR Analyzer
• Microbiology
• Blood Bank
• Cytopathology
The 120 Inpatient rooms are tentatively allocated as follows:
• OB/GYN (post-partum) – 20
• Plastic Surgery – 10
• General Surgery –

• ICU – 10 (adults and children)
• NICU – 5

• Pediatric – 10
• Royal Suite – one room on each board floor (modifying 4 typical rooms that are able to be combined through the use of moveable partitions and adaptable furniture). Operating Theaters:
