It is with regret that we announce the closure of our Honiara clinic with effect from close of business on Saturday 02 June 2018. Unfortunately demand for the clinic’s services has not matched our expectations at this time. We would like to thank you for your support, and our dedicated and talented team at the clinic for their commitment. The Solomon Islands will always have a special place in our hearts as we have been providing healthcare and job opportunities since 2004. Meet Tony Lane, our Practice Manager.

Tony is a registered comprehensive nurse originally from New Zealand. He comes to the clinic with 20 years of nursing and leadership experience, including three years with Aspen Medical in Australia and overseas. He is an expert in primary healthcare, travel medicine and immunisation along with a wealth of experience in remote, emergency and mental health nursing.

Meet Lizie Rosin (left) and Beverly Tapu (right), our Reception team.

Lizie comes with a wealth of reception and customer service experience and joined the Aspen Medical team with the opening of our new clinic.

Beverly has worked with Aspen Medical for 13 years. She was one of our receptionists when we were involved in RAMSI. We're delighted that she is back with us at the new public clinic!

MEET OUR TEAM!

Meet Betty Fa’amauri, our Medical Scientist.

Betty has joined us from the National Referral Hospital where she had worked for 11 years. Betty trained at Fiji National University where she obtained her Diploma in Medical Science and later a Bachelor of Medical Science. More recently she has been accepted into the University of Auckland (NZ) to undertake her Masters of Medical Science. Betty has expertise in all areas of pathology and is an expert in venepuncture (blood collection).

MEET OUR TEAM!

Meet Charles Gauba, our Physiotherapist.

Charles has worked with Aspen Medical for five years and joins our new clinic team after working with us on the RAMSI project. Having trained at Fiji National University he was awarded a Diploma in Physiotherapy. He has work in the public, private and corporate sector and he was the primary physiotherapist for the Solomon Islands Senior National Soccer Team 2000 - 2017. He has expertise in all areas of physiotherapy with a special interest in acute musculoskeletal injuries, sports physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Charles looks forward to working with you in your recovery and rehabilitation or to assist you in your sporting goals.

MEET OUR TEAM! Over the next week we'll be introducing you to our wonderful team here at the clinic.

Meet Dr Dunstone Aleziru our Senior Medical Officer.

Dunstone is from Rarumana and Vella La Vella Western Province, Solomon Islands. He undertook his initial medical training at the Fiji School of Medicine, now Fiji National University. He has a postgraduate certificate in paediatrics via the training offered through the children’s hospital in Westmead, Australia, a postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine and a Master of Aviation Medicine from Otago University (NZ) and a further Masters Degree in Public Health from James Cook University (Australia). Dunstone has had both local and regional experience having worked at the National Referral Hospital, Gizo Hospital, Helena Goldie Hospital and Taro Hospital here in the Solomon Islands.
