If you use your "reliever" more than 3 x a week, you must be on a "preventer" to reduce the inflammation in the airways.
Relievers such as salbutamol do NOT treat asthma, they relieve the acute airways closure.
Preventers (inhaled steroids) reduce inflammation to increase airway opening long term.
Asthma + Lung UK says more needs to be done to prevent the overuse of inhalers.
