Dear SAMER Community,

We invite you to participate in the "Hidden Side of War" project, which will respond to the armed conflict in Sudan since April 15, 2023. The project aims to study the impact of the conflict on medical education and the mental health of students, as this war affects all aspects of life, especially the health and education systems.

▎▎Objectives:
1. Enhance research skills.
2. Study students' psychological resilience and coping mechanisms.
3. To Assess the impact of the ongoing armed conflict on
the medical education
4.To study the empathy communication skills of medical fresh graduates.
5. To foster collaboration and feedback between the participants.

▎▎Why Participate?
- Make a Difference: Contribute to research that influences policies.
- Skill Development: Engage in an environment that fosters professional growth.

▎▎Selection Criteria:
Applications will be evaluated based on:
- Knowledge test
- Skills assessment

ندعوكم للمشاركة في مشروع "الأثر الخفي للحرب"، الذي يستجيب للصراع المسلح في السودان منذ 15 أبريل 2023. يهدف المشروع إلى دراسة تأثير النزاع على التعليم الطبي والصحة النفسية للطلاب، حيث أن هذه الحرب تؤثر على جميع جوانب الحياة، وخاصةً على نظام الصحة والتعليم.

▎▎الأهداف:
1. تعزيز مهارات البحث العلمي.
2. دراسة مرونة الطلاب النفسية وتقبلهم للضغوط.
3.تقييم تأثير الصراع المسلح المستمر على التعليم الطبي.
4. دراسة مهارات التواصل التعاطفي لدى خريجي الطب الجدد.
5.تقييم تأثير الصراع المسلح المستمر على التعليم الطبي.
6.تعزيز التعاون وردود الفعل بين المشاركين.

At SAMER, we're committed to empowering our members to drive impactful research and medical education. External Projects are a key part of this mission, allowing you to bring your ideas to life!

🔺What are External Projects?
External Projects are initiatives proposed by our members, focusing on advancing research and medical education. These projects are implemented by SAMER's Projects Office, leveraging our expertise and resources.

🔷Key Information:
-Open to All: Any member can submit a project proposal.
-Regular Opportunities: The call for External Projects will be open at least once per term.
- Rigorous Review: Projects undergo review by a dedicated committee.
- Feedback and Endorsement: Proposals receive constructive feedback, and those meeting our criteria are endorsed and implemented by SAMER.
- Project Coordination: Proposers have the option to lead their endorsed project as the coordinator.
