يصيب #السكري حاليًا شخصًا بالغًا واحدًا من كل 6 بالغين في إقليم شرق المتوسط - وهو أعلى معدل انتشار لهذا المرض على مستوى العالم. وبحلول عام 2045، من المتوقع أن يرتفع عدد الحالات بنسبة 86% ليصل إلى 136 مليون حالة.

ثلث حالات الإصابة بالسكري في إقليم شرق المتوسط غير مُشَخَّصَة. يوجد في الإقليم أعلى نسبة (24.5%) من إجمالي الوفيات الناجمة عن السكري في العالم، بين السكان في سن العمل. ينبغي أن تدعم أماكن العمل المصابين بالسكري وأن تفهم احتياجاتهم الصحية على نحو أفضل.

وبالفحص الدوري والعلاج، يمكن الحد من مخاطر المضاعفات مثل:

🔴العمى
🔴الفشل الكُلوي
🔴النوبات القلبية
🔴السكتات الدماغية
🔴بتر الأطراف السفلية

الوقاية من مضاعفات #السكري والتدبير العلاجي لها هو مفتاح الحفاظ على صحة جيدة!

🔎احرص على إجراء فحوص منتظمة للعينين والقدمين
🔎تعاوَن مع فريق الرعاية الصحية الخاص بك لضبط ضغط الدم وسكر الدم وحماية قلبك وكليتيك.

قد تظهر أعراض السكري فجأة. أما في حال الإصابة بالسكري من النمط 2، فيمكن أن تكون الأعراض خفيفة وقد يستغرق ملاحظتها سنوات عديدة. وتشمل أعراض السكري ما يلي:

🔸كثرة التبول
🔸العطش
🔸الشعور المستمر بالجوع
🔸فقدان الوزن
🔸تغيُّرات في الإبصار
🔸الإرهاق

هل يمكن الوقاية من #السكري؟

♦النمط 1 من ُكَّريّ لا يمكن الوقاية منه.
♦يمكن أن يساعد تغيير نمط الحياة على الوقاية من الإصابة بالسكري من النمط 2 أو تأخير ظهوره. يشمل ذلك اتباع نظامٍ غذائيٍ صحيٍ، وممارسة النشاط البدني بانتظام، والمحافظة على وزنٍ صحيٍ للجسم، وتجنب تعاطي التبغ.

لا تنزعج من مواجهة صعوبات تتعلق بالصحة النفسية عند التعامل مع السكري.

🔵63% من المصابين بالسكري يقولون إن الخوف من المضاعفات يؤثر على صحتهم النفسية.
🔵يعاني ما يقرب من 36% منهم من الضغط النفسي المرتبط بالسكري.
🔵يكافح 28% من مرضى السكري للحفاظ على موقف إيجابي فيما يتعلق بحالتهم.
