جائزة الاتحاد الأوروبي لحقوق الإنسان لعام 2025
تسلّم ممثلو غرف الطوارئ السودانية صباح اليوم جائزة الاتحاد الأوروبي لحقوق الإنسان لعام 2025، وهي الجائزة التي أُعلن عن فوز الغرف بها في 30 أبريل الماضي. ويأتي هذا التكريم تقديرًا للدور المحوري والإنساني الذي اضطلعت به غرف الطوارئ خلال الحرب في السودان، في وقت غابت فيه مؤسسات الدولة وانهار النظام العام، وبقي المواطن في مواجهة الخطر وحده.
لن نُطيل الحديث، بل نقتبس من كلمة ممثل الغرف خلال الفعالية:
“نحتفل اليوم ليس من أجل جائزة، بل تتويجًا لقصة صمود عظيمة خطّها شباب السودان في قلب العتمة.”
هذا التكريم لا يُعد مجرد جائزة رمزية، بل هو اعتراف دولي بقيمة التضحيات التي قدّمها آلاف الشباب والشابات عبر غرف الطوارئ، التي برزت كنموذج شعبي وإنساني غير مسبوق في تقديم الإغاثة والرعاية والخدمات الأساسية خلال واحدة من أقسى الأزمات التي مرّ بها السودان.
“في لحظة غابت فيها الدولة، نهض الشباب بلا سلاح إلا إنسانيتهم، يهتفون: نحن هنا لحماية الأرواح وزراعة الأمل.”
تشكلت غرف الطوارئ من رحم الأزمة، وأعادت تعريف مفهوم “الواجب الوطني”، حيث تصدّى أكثر من 20 ألف متطوع ومتطوعة لأدوار إنسانية بالغة الأهمية، شملت:
• إسعاف الجرحى والمصابين
• توزيع الغذاء والدواء
• تقديم الدعم النفسي
• إجلاء العالقين وتأمين المأوى للنازحين
• تنفيذ العديد من الخدمات المجتمعية الأخرى
“هذه الجائزة رسالة واضحة: تضحياتكم مرئية، مقدّرة، ومحفوظة في ذاكرة الإنسانية.”
كما لم تغب في الكلمة الإشادة بشهداء الواجب من المتطوعين في مختلف المجالات، والتحية والوفاء للمفقودين والمعتقلين الذين ظلّوا رموزًا مضيئة في أحلك اللحظات.
حيث أننا نُهدي هذا التكريم لأرواح الشهداء وأسرهم، ولكل من آمن بأن العمل الإنساني هو أسمى تعبير عن الوطنية.
ونؤكد أن هذا التكريم يُحمّلها مسؤولية أكبر في مواصلة الطريق، ليس فقط في العمل الإنساني، بل في المساهمة ببناء وطن يُصان فيه الإنسان، وتُحترم فيه الكرامة، وتُحمى فيه الحقوق.
وونتوجه بجزيل الشكر والعرفان للاتحاد الأوروبي على هذا التقدير الرفيع، ولكل من دعم وساند هذه المبادرة النبيلة من مؤسسات وأفراد، محليًا ودوليًا.
“التحية لغرف الطوارئ، الخلود للسودان، والمحبة للإنسان والإنسانية.”

⭕️ Khartoum Locality Emergency Rooms
European Union Human Rights Award - 2025
This morning, Sudan’s Emergency Rooms representatives officially received the 2025 European Union Human Rights Award, which had been announced on April 30. This honor comes in recognition of the vital and humanitarian role the Emergency Rooms have played throughout the war in Sudan—during a time when state institutions collapsed, public order disintegrated, and civilians were left to face danger alone.
We will not speak at length, but rather quote from the speech delivered by the Emergency Rooms’ representative at the ceremony:
“Today we do not celebrate a prize, but the crowning of a powerful story of resilience written by Sudanese youth in the heart of darkness.”
This award is more than symbolic. It is an international recognition of the sacrifices made by thousands of young men and women through the Emergency Rooms, which emerged as an unprecedented grassroots humanitarian initiative providing aid, care, and essential services during one of Sudan’s darkest crises.
“In a moment when the state was absent, the youth rose—not with weapons, but with their humanity—declaring: We are here to protect lives and plant hope.”
Born from the heart of the crisis, the Emergency Rooms redefined the concept of national duty, as more than 20,000 volunteers took on life-saving humanitarian responsibilities, including:
• Providing emergency medical care to the wounded
• Distributing food and medicine
• Offering psychological support
• Evacuating civilians and securing shelter for displaced families
• And delivering a wide range of community-based services
“This award sends a clear message: your sacrifices are seen, valued, and remembered in the collective memory of humanity.”
The speech also honored fallen volunteers across all sectors, while saluting the missing and detained—figures who have remained beacons of hope in the darkest of times.
“We dedicate this award to the souls of the martyrs and their families, and to everyone who believes that humanitarian work is the highest form of patriotism.”
This recognition also places a greater responsibility on the Emergency Rooms to persist—not only in humanitarian action, but in contributing to the building of a country where human dignity is preserved, rights are respected, and lives are protected.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the European Union for this distinguished honor, and to all institutions and individuals, both local and international, who supported and stood by this humanitarian movement.
