We take care of everyone else, but how often do we pause and show care for our own body?

I’m not talking about taking care of your body’s basic needs and hygiene.

This is about deeply listening to your body’s needs and showing it love and gratitude.

So often, we push our body to its limits, ignoring the need for rest, make choices that barely sustain us rather than nourish us.

But, when do you take the time to offer your body kindness?

Care for your body will look different for everyone:

💆‍♀️ Perhaps it’s treating yourself to a massage.

Your body is always speaking to you and so often you are told to tune in and listen, but do you know HOW?

Take a deep breath and tune into your body with these simple NOTICING prompts for a moment 👆

Notice with curiosity

Notice without judgement

Notice with stillness

Notice with intention

It might feel forced at first, you might wonder what this sensation is, or what that feeling is. Your thoughts will want to name them and give it meaning. For now, just notice.

When you are ready - take action on what your body is telling you.

💛 Act with self-compassion 💛

You won’t be able to give it everything it needs immediately.

Instead, take one small action - whether it’s a deep calming breath, a stretch, changing posture, getting up to dance, taking care of a basic bodily need.

If a small action can give you even 1% more comfort in the moment, it’s worth doing.

Tuning into your body is the first step towards caring for it.

Try these gentle ways to support digestion and give it the rest it deserves:

💛 Space meals apart – Give your body time to fully digest before the next meal, leave 3-4 hours between meals.

🌙 Prioritise sleep – Your gut does deep healing while you rest, when you sleep before 10pm, your digestion can fully reset overnight.

🚶‍♀️ Move gently – A light walk after eating keeps digestion flowing, prevents bloating and boosts your energy levels.

Taking care of your gut = taking care of your energy, mood & overall well-being!
