The foods I’ve been enjoying in my calorie deficit lately 🍓

🍗 my favourite part of summer is the evening barbecues, because it’s all about balance

🍑 low fat yoghurt, fruits & a drizzle of melted chocolate for a little sweet pick me up, that’s low in calories but high in antioxidants

🦐 a new recipe I’m going to posting soon, but this garlic prawn pasta was 10/10. High in protein to keep you feeling fuller for longer

🥩 slow cooker creamy bolognese because we can still have hearty meals when it’s hot right? Tell me I’m not the mad one here lol

I have been eating WELL lately! 🤤

🍓 peanut butter baked oats with strawberries - rich in antioxidants & fibre

🥗 burger in a bowl - high in protein & super quick to throw together

🌯 chicken flatbreads - one of my absolute favourites, high in protein & very filling

🍔 a bunless burger (because I didn’t have any!) - high in protein & still thinking about it now!

🍲 meatballs in a mushroom sauce with mashed potatoes - a .ie find from loaded with protein & fibre!

A day where eating in a deficit feels easy >

🍳Breakfast was avocado toast with two eggs because I’m just obsessed with the combo.
Fibre, protein & healthy fats ✅

🍓 Lunch was porridge with peanut butter & homegrown strawberries from the greenhouse, can you tell I’m proud?

🍲 Dinner was a chicken tray bake with carrots & potatoes, really more of a winter dinner but it was something I could throw into the oven & leave so… 🤷🏻‍♀️

🍋‍🟩 I’ll 1000% be getting these mojito cocktail sorbet things again! So sour, so perfect! 10/10!

Meet Juniper (June), our newest foster 💛

She came to us last night in desperate need of plumping up & some rest. The whole world is so scary to her, so slow steps needed but so far a very sweet girl 🐾

June is between 12-18 months old, but won’t be up for adoption until we chunk her up a bit & get her back up playing like she deserves 🦴

It was a a carb heavy day, but trying to empty out the freezer before the big food shop on Friday, still in a deficit though 👏🏻

Breakfast was some fruit loaf (always thought it was gross!) with peanut butter & banana 🍌

Lunch was 2 fruit scones, can you see the emptying out the freezer part? 👀

Dinner was ham tortellini with mushrooms, simple & delicious! 🤤

Ended the day with a midweek glass of wine 🍷

What felt like the longest travel day ever but we’re in Miami! 🇺🇸

We had an airport breakfast in Heathrow & then basically just picked at the plane food, now cozied up in the hotel before we board our cruise tomorrow! 🚢

I felt like these deserved to be made permanent because of how heavenly they look (& tasted!) 🥞

FUN FACT! This is the only recipe on my website that I didn’t write, this is Matt’s! It started out as something he’d do on Saturday mornings when we lived in London, now he’s fully perfected that fluffy to crispy edges balance 🤤

They work out at about 185 calories each!
