Thinking of 7 well balanced meals every week can be a bit tiresome, or we end up just eating the same things week in & week out 🥲

But having a few meals that you can make in just a few minutes, that are both delicious & balanced is key 👏🏻

Pasta, garlic, mushrooms, raw prawns & a little drizzle of olive oil = perfection!

Prawns are low in calories, high in protein & rich in omega 3 fatty acids - the perfect 10 minute meal 🤤

I’ve shared this banana bread recipe countless times at the point but it’s my go to for quick breakfasts, that can be prepped ahead of time! 🍌

110 calories per slice too, so save it for next time!

Ingredients:
Breakfast
200 g self-raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
a pinch of salt
200 g mashed ripe banana
3 eggs
120 g 0% fat Greek yoghurt
2 tbsp maple syrup
25 g dried fruit/nuts

Method:
1) For the banana bread, preheat your oven to 160C.

Line a loaf tin with greaseproof paper and set aside.

2) Mix the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and salt together.

In a separate bowl, mix the remaining ingredients - bar the dried fruit/nuts.

3) Add your wet ingredients to your dry and mix together quickly.

Pour your mixture into the prepared tin and top with the dried fruit and nuts.

Bake for 50 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean!

Cool in the tin and enjoy on its own or with your favourite toppings! 🍯

I say it every year but I think this year‘s decorations are my favourite 🎄

We’ve gone for coppers, golds & browns on the tree - I’m obsessed 🤎
The ceiling lights are one of my favourite things, makes the whole downstairs feel so magical ✨

The awful weather has meant we haven’t finished the outside lights but they’ll be done by this weekend!

And if it’s too early for you to start your Christmassy celebrations? That’s fine! But it’s never too early for us 🎅🏻

WHAT I’VE BEEN EATING LATELY 🥘
Much prefer these to posts because my food is often very repetitive & wouldn’t really show much lol

🍛 my first attempt at a lentil dahl & it’s only now that I’m captioning this that I’m realising I need to make it again

🍪 these cookies were very moreish, but can’t really go wrong with Lindt chocolate chip!

🥗 a pot luck lunch with friends was just what the doctor ordered

🎂 a white chocolate cheesecake was the birthday cake of choice this year thanks to Mom

🍝 one of my best recipes (if I can say that about myself) is my spaghetti bolognese, slow cooked for hours is best

🍋 a lemon loaf from our weekly bakes!

So a little bit of an accountability post, so buckle in because this might be a little long 😅

Lately I’ve not been practicing what I preach, not even a little 🤏🏻

I’ve not being drinking enough water, not getting my steps in everyday, barely tracking. I’ve just completely fallen off the wagon!

Why? I’m not sure, but I think I was just getting frustrated with my lack of routine & this is the result. I’m someone who NEEDS a routine, but for the last few months it’s just been out the window.

Well that changes this week 💪🏻

The foods I’ve been enjoying in my calorie deficit lately 🍓

🍗 my favourite part of summer is the evening barbecues, because it’s all about balance

🍑 low fat yoghurt, fruits & a drizzle of melted chocolate for a little sweet pick me up, that’s low in calories but high in antioxidants

🦐 a new recipe I’m going to posting soon, but this garlic prawn pasta was 10/10. High in protein to keep you feeling fuller for longer

🥩 slow cooker creamy bolognese because we can still have hearty meals when it’s hot right? Tell me I’m not the mad one here lol

🍫 the occasional protein bar to hit my goal, even when I can’t be bothered to make something more substantial. These ones from are one of my favs
