Just WOW!!! π€©
Letβs go back 9 years ago to 2015 where it all began.
I was 30 years old, very lost in life, loved to travel as iβd back packed 3 years ago around Asia but left my heart in 1 destinationβ¦ Thailand!
I went back in January 2015 for 2 months determined to experience new things.
Whilst over there in a place called Chaing Mai I was at a budhhist temple and came across a notice board where there was a flyer on it staring you can learn to meditate with Thai buddhist monks. Well I was loving the temples and culture so much I thought why not, what an amazing opportunity to get close to the monks and their way life. So I booked a 2 day silent meditation retreat which was so out of my comfort zone. There was a group of maybe 20 people from all walks of life. We got to listen to the monks stories, learn so much of their own journeys, learnt qi qong (a form of meditative martial art focus) and to meditate with various techniques (sitting, standing, walking, walking on stones) etc. At first I found it such a challenge but quickly I adjusted and absolutely put my all in to it. Iβd never done anything like this before in my life, it was something iβd never even considered.
Back then meditation wasnβt something Iβd heard much about (so grateful that has changed as time has gone on). I definitely was someone who cared what people thought of me.
This experience kick started my healing journey and although this particular trip to Thailand was incredible anyway, this experience was EVERYTHING! It literally changed my life.
When I returned back to the UK I put everything I learnt into practise daily. I never told many people what I was doing from fear of judgement.
Meditation got me to a place where I felt so comfortable I started then opening up to healing my past. This included past traumas, relationship healing, self love which was a huge one for me, positive mindset etc. It took a good 3-4 years to fully get to a place where I felt I healed my past. I then put my love of travel & spirituality together and my retreats were born. Helping others to heal in beautiful surroundings is my life purpose. I cannot wait for nore to come ππ«ππ«
