The gist

I'm a writer, storyteller and humanist... interested in the intersection of Wildness + Order. Transparency + Self-preservation. Truth + Impact. I believe ART and BUSINESS aren’t opposite ends of the spectrum, but can (and SHOULD) intertwine, overlap and dance. Like Hip Hop meeting Classical. Like Jazz reuniting with a hand drum.

Art to me is anything that stems from our innate creative force… it’s a type of divine unconsciousness. It’s original and honest. It doesn’t label others as “competitors” or the people we wanna serve as “consumers”. It’s humanistic by definition.

It breaks the rules and disregards convention. It challenges the status quo through the pure, unadulterated power of telling the truth.

Here it is:

Art is the expression of truth.

I believe the stories we write and consume shape our perceptions and choices... and that now more than ever we need to tell real stories of courage, expansion, truth.

I echo Brene Brown’s sentiments when she wrote: "There’s an unspoken message that the only stories worth telling are the ones that end up in history books. That’s not true. Every story matters. We are worthy of telling our stories and having them heard. We all need to be seen and honoured in the same way that we all need to breath."

Our stories contain the power to facilitate our own transformation while impacting the world through healing power of sharing our humanity. It’s when we SHOW UP as real, imperfect, and open to connection.

What else? I believe authenticity is our most prized contribution to any relationship, even if it doesn’t always feel that way.

It isn’t always comfortable and not everyone will give the validation we unconsciously seek.

But believe me when I say: authenticity is the conscious practice of liberation.

Authenticity. Is. The. Conscious. Practice. Of. Liberation.

It’s the only road to freedom. And from there, all else is possible. The main thing to know about me?

I love freely, question relentlessly and do my best to plug into the collective – all to remember, live and breathe, that connection is everything.
