๐ Are We Failing Our Children? It's time for smart actions, beyond appeals!๐
While vaccination rates continue to fall perilously, we witness earnest appeals from the authorities urging parents for timely vaccinations. Yet paradoxically, a potent solution has been within our reach for a while!
A digital NHS red book has been recognised as a powerful tool aiding parents in managing their childโs health efficiently, thereby supporting the achievement of Public Health goals.
initiated work on the digital version back in 2019-20, with suppliers like Nurturey stepping in to contribute. Fast forward to 2024, and the citizens are still waiting. The question arises - With a ready product at hand, are delays in decision-making inadvertently failing our children?
Recently, Dorset saw the successful launch of Nurturey PinkBook, showcasing a fully functioning digital NHS red book. With features like vaccination reminders, trusted NHS information on vaccination benefits, appointment bookings, and automatic vaccination record updates - Nurturey PinkBook, along with other suppliers, stands ready to counter the plummeting vaccination rates we currently witness.
Itโs heartbreaking that despite the 'immediate' readiness of the digital NHS red book to go live nationally โ and at no additional cost - we have been waiting 18 months for straightforward decisions.
Remember, itโs not about Nurturey; itโs about the digital NHS red book that any supplier can develop.
While delays are disappointing, it's important to recognise the complex challenges the NHS faces in adopting new digital initiatives like the red book. However, a pragmatic step-by-step progress approach can help overcome roadblocks.
I have been part of this journey for four+ years now. If any stakeholder reading this is interested, please reach out to me. I can elucidate exactly how the digital NHS red book can go live nationally within days.
Letโs proactively embrace available solutions to safeguard our childrenโs health and future. Let's not fail them when the tools for success are right in front of us!
