How gut health connects to the ground beneath our feet - my interview with is live now (link in my bio). I talk obviously about soil and food - and how I think we need to make soil sexy 🐛🪱🐛

Another year of magical ideas and inspiration . Every year I can feel the community growing - and this year it was amazing to see old friends and meet people who I’d only met virtually before. I’ve written an article on The Life Larder this week about the lessons I’m taking with me from the field - link in the bio as always 🤍

🌿How chefs and nutritionists can cook up a better food future 🌿

Me & curated a conversation and workshopping session for last week where we collaborated on turning traditional dishes more nutritious, and more sustainable. There was sparky conversation from the audience and I’m always reminded in sessions like this that we all have such a personal connection to food because we’re all experts - we eat every day after all.

Thank you .garg_ & for having us on a brilliant weekend 🙏🏼

Snaps from ‘The Power of Beans’ today with - we cooked, ate & learnt about the nutrition and sustainability creds of lots of beans, ran blind tastings of dried, tinned and jarred and shared some simple beany recipes that our attendees could cook up tomorrow to make beans part of their every day lives.

A beautiful workshop in an amazing location - feeling very grateful for today 🫘🤍🌿

“Healthier soil leads to healthier people. That’s the ripple effect of regeneration.” – Kitty Grubb, Regenified

Regenerative farming isn’t just about how we grow - it’s about why. From restoring land to restoring purpose, it’s a movement grounded in hope, science, and real change 💪🏼

This Friday on the newsletter I’m interviewing John Gregson & Kitty Grubb from who share stories around Regenified’s mission to bring clarity and credibility to regenerative agriculture 🌳

I am lazy with PSB (purple sprouting broccoli). I always roast or sauté, then expect it to sit on the side of the main event.

Not this time though - this makes a gorgeous main plate (don’t forget the protein rich peas hiding underneath) and can be served with herby wild rice or grains and seeds to give it more texture.

It’s also a great summer dish served hot or cold, and would be lovely to take to someone’s house as a minimal effort, impressive looking dish. Head to my website for the full recipe 🤍

A weekly veg box forces us to get creative. Having to use what we have in front of us, means those parameters actually can allow us to experience new flavours, and break ourselves out of routine.

This week on the newsletter I show you a real life example with my veg box - not only how to use up your veg with imagination, but also how to store things for maximum longevity – spoiler alert potatoes and onions are not friends.

We all have a favourite milk 🐄🌾 - but I think it’s tricky to know what we’re really drinking and how it stacks up health and planet-wise against the rest. At the link in bio take a deep-dive into your favourite milk and the pros and cons of the white stuff 🥛

🍇 BAKED STICKY GRAPES 🍇

More of a way of doing things than a recipe, these make a great topping or accompaniment to other dishes. I serve them over yoghurt or with sourdough, on crostinis with whipped ricotta or on the side of a dessert that calls for something sweet and sticky. Hot or cold these grapes are something special.

Find them at the link in bio. 😋

A gorgeous day cooking for the retreat with & Aisha our movement expert. We breathed, moved, learnt about nutrition and detox and ate al fresco before sauna and a walk in the woods.

On the menu was immunity smoothies, chai chia pudding and a lunch feat. chalk stream trout and seeds and greens grains.

A beautiful nourishing in the sunshine - what could be better!
