If only I had one of these signs flashing in my brain whenever I was sliding towards overwhelm. A reminder to stop the frantic multi tasking and be here now. Make time to connect, to be curious, to wish people well, to cultivate joy and notice warmth in my heart.

Slowing down is not a waste of time, in fact the result will be a more resilient, energised, healthy version of You, rather than the frazzled , burnt out version! Even a 3 minute breathing space can help you tap into this more grounded version and help you proceed mindfully.

And in a strange way…. Gratitude for the cold/flu that has stopped me in my tracks for the past 4 days, reminding me what must be done and what can wait. I am re-emerging now with a deeper sense of self care, rest, slowness, intention.

Our next Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for Life course begins February 6th and meets for two hours each week for eight weeks.

In the course you will:

Engage in experiential learning, guided meditations, and interactive sessions in a small supportive group.

Acquire skills to reduce living life in autopilot, and to wake up to the present moment.

Practice noticing your thoughts, feelings, body sensations, and begin to relate to these in a non judgemental way.

Themes include reframing negative patterns, developing deeper understandings of yourself and your responses to life's complexities.
