We went back to the house the next day and stood outside the house in the front of the gate expecting the gatekeeper to open. Segun wore a long skinny and a t-shirt with necklace around his neck. I told him not to panic that if it turns out that it will be a difficult task for him as a lady then he can probably step back. We finally entered after greeting the gatekeeper and he laughed at Segun dress.

“Are you here for international interview or what. Because I don’t understand the long skirt and t-shirts on Tuesday morning like this in an apartment like this. Wahala dey for this Lagos ooo na different people with different m@dness of dressing hahaha.

“Wont you watch your mouth, you this peacock!” Segun answered angrily and the gateman laughed the more.

“See who dey talk. No, just tell me. Who is talking like peacock between you and I. Just see how you look, are you even female at all. Because your own female na dry bone. No yansh nothing nothing. See your face like strong apku.

“Ha! Mr man that is too much from you and I can’t stand here watching you lashed my friend in that manner. You better watch your tongue!” I responded angrily pointing directly to his eyes.

“If not that you yourself did not have eyes. How can you see this imberibe (ugly person) and have her as friend. Or you don’t know that it’s who you walk with that will determine the kind of person you’re. How did you even end up with this village girl abi na woman I go talk sef.

“And how is that your business. No just tell me your problem Mr man!

“Ha, you don dey vex” He laughed sitting on his long bench and raising his hand that he isn’t going to say anything.

“You better keep your mouth shut or else…. or else I will deal with you.” I said and hold Segun hand and walked inside the house.

“I don too suffer aswearugod! If nor be say I know one spoil things for us. Aswear I go remove all these things wey dey my body finish that useless boy wey be like Chinese stick now now.

“Just calm down, Segun please calm down. I know how you’re feeling right now but don’t allow it spoil our plans as you said.” I said to him tapping his back.

We entered and sat on the couch while the chef go inside to call the woman.

“E be like say I don dey sweat ooo shey this yeye powder no go clean like this?.

“Just fan yourself a lit but so dry it up “ I responded.

“Here are our new employee.

We greeted immediately we saw the woman and a man who is definitely her husband behind her. The man look so much like Dolapo, it is just as if they are carbon copy of each other. The man is not really fat and he has a tribal marks like three on each cheeks. He was holding a inhaler that is mostly used for nostrils on his left hand. He smiled and sit down with his wife as they access our look.

“My wife have told me about you two.

“Thank you sir.” We answered.

“Well, why are you just coming?” He asked and we looked at each other speechless.

“You were told to start work today and you’re coming by what time?

“Oh, ha sir. We didn’t know we are really starting today.” I answered.

“So if you’re not starting today then what are you here for?” He asked in a widely look that can give hypertension.

“We are sorry sir….we are sorry ma” We both said begging and bowing our heads.

“No problem “ He sniffed and get up.

“Thank you sir.” We said and he waved at us.

His wife called the chef which is a girl and asked her to take Segun to the kitchen in other to put him through some things he should know and I was told to start my work immediately I will be giving what to use and clean the house. I thanked her and she went upstairs singing along.

I looked around the sitting room and saw pictures at the wall. I was looking around hoping to see Dolapo photos and alas! I saw one on the shelf where their decoder is and I became happy that it’s her house we definitely are. I was showed around the rooms and every other places in the house and I started my work.

SEGUN

Here are the things we used to cook and If eventually you are told to cook…

“Who tell you say I Sabi cook. Una go chop salt tire.” He said in his mind as he listened to what she’s saying.

“Sarah, make two sandwich for me.

“Who just talked now?” He asked jumping frightfully and Sarah laughed.

“That is Madam talking. There is a speaker here that’s connected to each room Incase they needed anything.

“Ehhhh rich people no go ki*ll me “ He said and the lady laughed.

“Can you make sandwich?

“Ehn, you said??

“I said can you make sandwich?” She looked at him.

“It is not like I can’t cook it but it’s just that….”

“Do you cook sandwich??” the lady asked.

“yes na, is it not to boil and fry it.” He said and she laughed out loud shaking her head.

After several days of trying to get Dolapo to chat with on WhatsApp because I was able to message her. I do communicate with Segun as it goes because he has returned to his house. I wasn’t afraid anymore as I always sleep the way I always wanted. My girlfriend called me in the morning that she will come over and I have been expecting her to come since morning. I wanted to talk to the Merman so that he will know that she’s coming but I didn’t know how to call him out. I also don’t want him to see whatever might be happening between my girlfriend and I. So I tapped the mirror twice and again and again and nothing seems to be happening.

“Merman, Merman!!!! Are you there? I want to see you.

Still no response from him. I just hope he is fine where he is because I don’t know what might have happened.

Knock knock!

I quickly use my extra bedspread to cover the mirror so that my girlfriend won’t start looking at herself not knowing that it’s not just a mirror. I opened the door and she entered carrying two polythene bag.

“What is inside?” I asked looking at her hands as she dropped it.

“But why?

“Thank you. Oh’ I’m really tired. Your room looks nice.” Looking around and shaking her head as well. “I thought I won’t locate this place easily. Infact immediately I ask from a woman outside that I’m asking of Jude, she pointed to your entrance.
“is it not good?
“It is good. That shows how you have mingle with your neighbor’s.
“It isn’t bad though. There is no way you will live in a place that you won’t be known.” I answered opening what she brought. “I have eggs already.
“Then it will be surplus then. It won’t spoil.
“Thank you. I really appreciate this.
“You are welcome honey.” She smiles. “ So how was the interview? They haven’t called you yet?.
“They haven’t, and I don’t know why.” I answered sniffing my nose.
“That is how some of those cr*azy company does. They might have called who they wanted but nevertheless let keep believing they will call you . Let just think realistically that they will call or message you to resume.
“I hope so too. How are your family? How is work?
“They’re fine and work is going well. Have you eaten?
“I haven’t.” I said and she laughed.
“I know you wouldn’t because you know I’m coming.” She gets up. “What will you eat?
“You can cook anything you see that is available in the kitchen.
“Don’t worry, I know what to cook.” She answered and go to the kitchen after changing her cloth. I don’t know why it’s really common for ladies to always wear their lover’s cloth whenever they visit. Although this is her first time of doing this, probably because it’s her first time of coming to my personal house unlike when she do visit while I was still living with my friend. I lie down and took my phone to check if I have new message on Whatsapp. I sat up delightfully when I saw a message from Dolapo. I looked at the covered mirror and back to my phone. I clicked her message and my joy became elevated when I see that she’s online. I wonder why it took her long to reply a chat after many days of expecting her response.

Dolapo: Yes, who is this?.

I quickly reply her that how is she doing and she texted back that she is okay that who am I . I scratched my head and think of what to say.

Me: I am just an unknown person who wants to be friend with you.

She: Get the fu*ck out of my DM 😠

I was dumbfounded by her reply and I wonder how rude she is. I don’t even think someone like her will be that easy to find because, like what the hell did she thinks she is. I called Segun and he picked without delay.

“How fa?.

“Segun can you believe I just received an unprecedented insult of my life.

“I don’t understand, who insulted you?.

“Is it not the….oh ohh.” I suddenly remember my girlfriend is around. Wait, are you online? Come online first.

“Why can’t you say it now?.

“Just come online.” I answered and he ended the call.

I went back online and check if she’s still online and she’s . So I texted Segun and forward what we said to him.

Him: That girl dey craze ooo she doesn’t have good manner at all.

Me: What do you think I can tell her because as I’m here ehn’, I’m really m@d at her.

Him: You just have to let go those insult. Don’t let it get to you. Remember its something favorable in return we are doing this for. Is she online?

Me: Yes.

Him: Okay, reply her that you received all the insult based on….on…. based on trying to get to know her with a smiling emoji. Jude you can do this na. You should know how to handle a lady like her. Who did she think she’s . A princess or what? Mtcwee 😒

I return to my chat with her and texted her in all positivity I can but at the end she blocked me. Then a thought came into me and I think there should be someone around this vicinity or even in this house that might know her before she left. I gets down from the bed and put on my blue round top in other to go out. This is faith stories content.

“Are you going out?.

“Yeah, I’m coming.” I answered

“But…”

“Don’t worry, I’m not going far. I want to see one of my neighbor.

“Okay”. She answered and I closed the door behind her.

I stood at my entrance and thought of who to meet looking at the front door of each person. My mind went straight to the lady that came to me one night that said I can always come to her if I needed anything. So I went to her door and knocked. The door opened some minutes later and she was surprised to see me.

“Jude! Good afternoon or is it evening.” She said smiling.

“Whichever one say , we are already in halfway to evening. “ I answered with a smile.

“You are right Sha. So what is it? Or do you want to come in?

“I will appreciate it”

“No problem.” She opened and I entered. Her room really look nice and really neat. It shows how perfect she’s . She gave me a plastic chair to sit and I sat down anxiously waiting for her to sit so that I can begin my questions. I don’t want my girlfriend to start worrying about me so I just have to be fast.

“Unle jude### it’s nice having you in my room.

“No, I said I’m Jude.

“Never mind about it. So what do you want to tell me or you are not here for that.

“What did she think I’m here for at first.” I said in my mind and prepare myself to talk. Uhm, the thing is I need a little favour from you.

“No problem. Go ahead.

“Thank you. You have been living in this house for long right?

“Yes, I have been here for more than 7 years now.

“Wow! That’s nice.” I smiled and she laughed. “Definitely you will know about the girl that lived in my room.

“Yes I do. That’s Dolapo.

I was overjoyed with that positive answer from her.

“Wow, how can you prescribe her like what kind of person is she?

“Why are you asking?”

“I just wanted to know. Like I was really curious about how she left all her belongings behind without coming back.

“Don’t mind her. She’s a cr@zy girl that doesn’t know what is left for her.

“cr@zy girl? Why did you say that?” I asked laughing.

“She was my friend.

“But now?” I asked.

“Not anymore.

“But why?

“Because…. Because she f**k*ed up.

“Interesting. Did she fight you or what?

“See how anxious you’re Jude. You really want to know about her.

“Aswear, I really want to know Rachel. So where is she now? Although the caretaker said she has traveled abroad.

“Travelled what?” She bursted into laughter and I became more curious and confused.

“Why are you laughing?.”

“Because she has foo*led everyone around but not me. Dolapo didn’t travel to anywhere ooo

“Really??

“Yes, she’s in Nigeria. In her own house.

“Then why did she lied and abandon her properties here?.

“I said she’s a cr@zy girl. We fought and separated because of it. I’m not supposed to be telling you this.

“You know what I like about you.

“What?” She asked.

“You are a loving person. You are a open minded person, and I like the fact that you are able to interact with me without making it feel bored. “ I purposely said that just to make her want to tell me more.

“Ohh thank you for that “ She blushes.

“So, can you continue?.

“Why not! So as I was saying. Dolapo is Rich, like she has money. She told me she wanted to leave this house to go live in a new acquired mansion.

“Wow!” I exclaimed.

“She took a guy along with her whom they live together.

“You mean she’s married?

“No! Married ke. Dolapo is not married ooo someone that is getting beating by her so called lover.

“But why?.

“Because of love na!. I told her back then to let go of the guy but she insisted on living with him. And the annoying part is that the guy is a drug dealer and she is the one that do feed him all the time.

“ha! How about her family? Are they not aware.

“I don’t think so because doing those time if I ask she will tell me her parents doesn’t even care about her wellness talk of knowing how she’s living her life.

“This is unbelievable!” I said.

“I don’t trust that girl a bit. She must have lied to me, but that’s her own headache because I don’t even care about her anymore. Anyhow She likes, she should live her life. Just imagine how she left everything in her room just because she is rich and wanted to satisfy her lover. See, that girl no get Sense jare.

“You are right, truly truly she doesn’t have sense.” I said to her.

Episode 6

I told him I will help him to get the casting spell because I pity him. How can someone be that ungrateful to abscond after getting the best of things she wished for. Why will she abandon him when she knows she won’t be there for him as she promised. I also want to know why she will travel abroad without coming back. Segun didn’t want to join in helping him so he told me to count him out of it. The Merman begged us again that we should help him that he will never harm us .

“So if we na…. like if we are to help you how are we going to find the girl?” Segun asked.

“I don’t know because I don’t know where she has gone to.

I stood up and told him I will find out about it. He return into the mirror and I sit down looking at it.

“What is even the time. “ Segun look around in the darkness, touching the bed to take his phone. The light returned and we looked at each other with excitement. “Guy, how far.

“How fa about what?” I asked.

“Don’t worry, let forget about it. “ He took his phone to check what the time is and he opened his mouth in surprised.

“What?” I asked.

“It is morning ooo

“As how?

“6:55am!

“Really?

“yes na, come and see.

I collected the phone and see that he wasn’t lying. I wasn’t feeling sleeping anymore so I just went to the bathroom to take my bath. The whole thing happened like a flash that It looks as if I just woke up from dream. I didn’t want to help the Merman because of the wish he promised to fulfill but because I feel he was betrayed and needed to be set free in other to return to his kingdom. My friend was still grumbling if he should help him or not and I purposely reminds him about the wishes and he reluctantly answered that he only wanted to do it because of the wish he promised us to grant that he really want to be rich also and to do one thing he has always dreamt of. We set out three hours later to see the caretaker. When we got there I was told he was still sleeping, so I decided to wait until he will come out.

“Are you okay at all Jude? How can we sit outside and wait for someone that’s still sleeping. Can’t we come back later. See, I have something to do that is also important, and I can’t waste my precious time seating here to see someone that is still sleeping.

“You know what “ I faced him. “ I am not forcing you to do this. You can opt out if you don’t want . It’s not by force abeg!.

He looked sideway after what I said. My phone rang and I picked it immediately I saw my mother number. I know I should have called her even before coming to see the caretaker.

“Hello mum.

“Jude, Jude what is wrong with you? I have called you many times and you refused to pick.

‘I am sorry mother. I didn’t see your call on time because I slept early yesterday and this morning I didn’t remember to call.

“When are you coming home or you still want to stay where you’re, after what you sent to me.

“ohh” I laughed. “ it was a prank mom, I actually wanted to prank you and you fall for it.

“To prank me? Are you okay at all. What sort of prank is that! Did you know what you have made us go through throughout the night. We were all worried about you and now you’re telling me it’s a prank. You better don’t try that nonsense with me again.

“yes ma.” I answered just to clear it off because if I should let her know that it was true, I will never be able to do what the Merman said and my chances of getting what I wanted will be abortive. After trying all my best in fooling my mother and my father. I apologized and everything became settled.

“The lord will continue to protect you my dear.

“Amen ma. I will call you later mom, I have something to attend to.

“Okay dear son. Take care of yourself.”

I ended the call and my friend looked at me in a puzzle look and I smiled.

“Did you just lied?.

“No, I just poke them.” I answered jokingly and he shakes his head.

“you that need deliverance.

“I don’t need deliverance because it as been disclosed about the outcome of the food. So what is there to be delivered for.

“Good morning Jude.

We looked back seeing the caretaker behind us and we greeted him in return. He asked what happened and I was looking lost not knowing what to say, like where to start from.

“We are here to see you. “ Segun said.

“I know, and that’s why I’m asking what happened.” Caretaker answered and my friend look at me.

“I want to ask you something about my room if you don’t mind.” I finally uttered.

“About your room? What happened?

“it is not something serious like that.

“Okay thank God. Because I quickly wonder what could have happened. “Samuel!

“Sirrr!.

“Bring the white plastic chair out for me.

“Okay sir “ The son answered from the house and brought out the chair for him.

“So, let go straight to the point. What is it.

“uhm, actually it’s about my previous room occupant. I mean the lady you said…”

“Ohh you mean Dolapo?”

“Is that her name?” I asked, pretentiously.

“yes, her name is Dolapo You know I told you she has traveled abroad.

“I know. But how can I get to see her. Like I want to meet her.

“You want to see Dolapo? I hope all is well? Did you know her?

“I don’t . I just found interest in her because while I was cleaning my room when I wanted to move in I saw her picture on the floor and I was marvel by her beauty.” I said and the man laughed out loud.

“You young men of nowadays are always falling in love easily. Well, I think Rachel should even be married now.

“Married??” I and my friend chorused.

“Yes married. When I spoke with her last year December she said something about her husband not allowing her to return to Nigeria. So I believe she is married.

“And I really like her oo that girl is really pretty.

“You can say that again Jude. She is pretty and rich.

“She is rich also?? But….” I looked around the environment and he tapped my shoulder.

“I know what you’re thinking. Forget about her living in this house. She’s a rich lady now.

“But how can I get to communicate with her. I really need to talk with her.

“Didn’t you hear that I said she is married or you want to call someone else's wife?

“Don’t worry sir just forget about her being married or something. There’s something I see in her that is connected to me. I have been thinking about her ever since.” I answered and he laughed again.

“You are very funny Jude.

“If you can give me her contact, I will give you 50,000 naira.

“50 thousand for a contact, is there more to it??” He asked looking at my eyes.

“You really don’t understand me sir. I really like her and probably want to hear her voice, even if it’s just once.

“I will give you but not with your money. I don’t need it. I’m giving you because you’re not a trouble looking man and you have been an easy going type. I haven’t done this before but I don’t know why I just feels like giving you. Make sure you don’t tell her I gave you her number ooo

“Thank you sir. God bless you and I won’t tell her, never!.

He go inside his room and came out with his phone and called Dolapo number for me. I thanked him and then return to my room happily that what I needed has been given.

“So what is next now?” Segun asked.

“We are going to call her.

“Then who will do the calling?” He asked.

“You na! At least I have collected the number.

“It won’t go well like that Jude. I think you should be the one to call her because you’re the one that will be communicating with the mirror most of the time. Wait! Watin dey smell?

“Smell as how?” I asked.

“You nor dey perceive am.” He go to the kitchen sniffing around and ran back to where I was with joy.

“What is it?” I asked.

“Another food.

“Another food? Which another food??.

I followed him to the kitchen and we saw porridge, Fried rice and chicken inside different pot. We looked at each other and back to the pot.

“Shey make we eat am?” He asked.

“You wan eat food wey you nor know who cook am.

“It is the mirror…..I mean the Merman that cook it na. He must have given us to appreciate our kindness to help him.

“So you want to eat it right?.” I asked.

“Why won’t I eat it. Or when you ate your own did you di*e? Is this not you. Then nothing will happen to me. Merman thank you for the food!” He shouted hoping the Merman will hear him.

I stood behind him watching how he dishes the food together like a glutton. I laughed and ask again if truly he wanted to eat it. He started singing, telling me he is not afraid anymore.

In the night I was reminiscing everything Rachel told me and how I will get to look for Dolapo. I have told Segun and he said he will come to my house the next day. My girlfriend hands was wrapped around my waist as if I could disappeared. She will definitely wake up in the night to pray because that’s what I have always known her to do. I wanted to kiss her but she won’t . She is always replying with one scripture of the bible to counter the moves. The only thing that keeps me glue with her is because of how she stood as a guardian angel. She is a supportive woman that can go any length to make things work in order for me or just to make sure I’m happy. She turns around removing her hands from my waist and I was relieved from the tight cuddle. I looked at the mirror and wonder what might be going on with the Merman. “Could it be that he purposely didn’t want to show because he knew my girlfriend is around or what?” So many thoughts keeps trooping in my mind The light suddenly went off and on repeatedly and I held unto my sleeping girlfriend. This as never happened ever since we talked to the Merman , so why is this occurring again . Or could it be from the Power supplier??. I put on my phone flashlight and flashed it around the room and the light finally went off.

“Jude.

I heard a whispered of my name and I point my phone touch around and didn’t see anyone. The duvet I used to cover the mirror suddenly fall and I look at my girlfriend as she is still sleeping. I quietly get down from the bed and go to where the mirror is to pick the bedspread. As I bend down I heard a crack from the mirror and my heart skip faster. I used my phone touch to look around it and saw the upper part of the mirror getting crash. “What is going on?” I imagine touching the surface of the mirror and it became really cold like ice. “Merman!” I called Quietly without response from him.

“Are you okay Jude?

I jumped around in fear facing my awake girlfriend.

“What are you doing there?” She asked looking at me.

“Ehm..ehm it’s …it is my phone. Yes my phone! I want to charge it before the light went off.

“Then what are you covering?

“Covering like what?

“What you are covering na.” She asked doubtedly.

“it is nothing.” I answered jumping back on the bed.

“Let me see for myself.” She answered and I quickly pulled her back. “ Why will you pull me?

“You know it is dark and I will off my phone now. So I don’t want you to injure yourself.

“If it’s that, then don’t worry I will take my phone to check it.

“I said don’t worry! Just lay back and sleep.

“I am not sleeping again.

“And why?

“I just had a terrible nightmare.

“You have started again. It’s every time you always dream terribly.

“When last have I dream such Jude and moreover it seems it is everytime I’m always with you that I do dream such dreams.

“And what does that mean? That my house is not good right?” I asked in angry voice.

“Noo na, don’t take this personally please. It doesn’t have to do with being in your house or not. Dreams are unpredictable. You never can tell when it will occur. So don’t think like that okay.

“Then come and sleep.

“I said I’m not sleeping again. I want to pray.

“Is it time already?

“Time doesn’t guarantee the acquired moments to pray. I can pray to God anytime and anyhow.

“No problem, but make sure it’s just praying.

“Of course! You can also join me.

“I am not in the mood for that.” I answered.

She definitely knew I won’t joined her but she asked so that it won’t be like she didn’t tell me. She started her worship and prayer and I also joined silently were i was.

Next Day
Segun House

We headed to the description Rachel told me with the hope of seeing Dolapo but we eventually lost our way and I called Rachel to tell me again.

“Don’t tell me you’re actually going out to look for her?

‘’No, I just forget about it while talking to my friend. That’s why I’m calling. “ I lied.

“Okay fine. I even trust you on that. And moreover what will you go and do in her house. Silly me!.” She said and I laughed.

She described the place again and i also put the call on record in other to listen to it while going around. We carried another bike and go back to where we came from because when we asked The bikeman he said he knew the place. He stopped in front of a white house and said we have gotten there.

“Are you sure?” Segun asked. “You know most of Una like to dey lie. You won’t know where someone is going and you will confidently say you know it. Aboki! You sure say na this place??.

“walahi! I swear for am say na here. Na the house be dis” The bikeman answered and ride away.

We stood in front of the gate and look at each other.

“What should we do now, are we going to knock on someone house and just ask of Dolapo?” I asked.

“We can’t do that for sure but we also have to think of what to do in as much that we have found the house. But, o boy! This house big oo that girl parents spend money for here.

“What do you expect in an estate like this. See let just think of what to do first.” I said and started looking around the building. My eyes caught a small placard in front of the gate and I quietly and hurriedly walked there to read it.

VACANCY

MALE AND FEMALE CLEANER NEEDED. INTERESTED PERSON SHOULD KNOCK ON THE GATE

“Guy how far? Na update be this ooo” I said and Segun laughed. “it is not funny guy. This is a smooth road to achievement.

“So, are you saying you want to work here as cleaner?.

“Why not, you will opt in as the female while I will opt in for the male.

“You dey craze!

I laughed out loud immediately he said that.

“So you want me to act like woman while you will act male right. Is like your head is turning on its own. It’s better you opt in for the cleaner alone and leave me out if it.

“While are you talking like this na Segun. Don’t you know that you look more of feminine. They won’t even detect it at all.” I said with all seriousness and he frank at me.

“If I should punch your face for you, I’m sure that you will never see again till thy kingdom come! Nonsense boy.

He walked away and I ran after him telling him to calm down and should listen to me. He continues to abuse me while looking back in annoyance. And truly that’s the only way we can gain access to her family, and once we do that there will definitely be 100% guarantee that we will get to see Dolapo. I do watch movies that male do dress like woman to secure such work, and moreover nowadays a lot of men dress and act like women. So it shouldn’t be something difficult for him to do.

He left me and went on his own but I didn’t allow that to stop me from calling and trying to make him understand the purpose of it. I even told him to remember the wishes. Three days gone, and no reply from him. My girlfriend has returned the second day and I have been alone since then. The Merman surprised me by his response when I asked why he didn’t answer me when I was calling him when my girlfriend was around and he said he didn’t showed up because he doesn’t want to ruin my time with my girlfriend. He is such a nice fish that doesn’t deserve to be cage in a mirror. In the evening while we were talking, he was inside the mirror and I was seating on my bed facing him. He asked me to touch the mirror and anything I imagine will work in reality. I decided to try it and I closed my eyes and imagine I was wearing a big cloth like in the olden days with a big shoe. I felt a changes in my body and I opened my eyes and see myself dressed in what I have imagine. I looked at myself in the mirror and laughed out uproariously holding my stomach because I was looking like an old fool. I tap the mirror again and imagine to have India dress on me and it also happened.

“Segun is really missing a lot.” I muttered to myself dancing around joyfully. After playing and imagining things I stopped it and relax on my bed giggling and smiling joyfully. I have never in my life experience this kind of magic.

The next morning the first person that called me that took me in surprised is my friend Segun. He said I should come over to his house without questioning him. And that was how I quickly dress and go to his house some hours later. When I entered, I saw my friend in awkward and unexpected look. I started laughing immediately instead of greeting him.

“How do I look?” He asked in his female dress. Flaunting the wig on his head that I don’t even know how he got it. “is this not what you wanted? Why are you na laughing.

“Abeg no vex. I was just overtook by your appearance (laughing) where did you see all these clothes?

“I went to the market to buy it yesterday. It’s not like I really wanted to do this. But it’s because of the wish. But how do I look (turning around) do I look feminine or I should adjust the foam inside the bra.

“hahahahahaha! Hahahaha!!!! Where did you see bra, oh you bought it too.

“The bra is for my third girlfriend. She left it here. The only thing remaining is makeup to patch things up.

“Well, that is not an issue. We will call One of your trusted girlfriend to do it for you.

It wasn’t easy concluding with him as we called his girlfriend that came to cook in my house to come do some little makeup on his face. She came and did it after lying to her that we wanted to go for a funny work in a bar and she also laughed so hard that she rolled on the floor. Seeing her boyfriend dressed like female got her laughing the more. We set out and boarded a taxi that took us to the house. I know Segun was kind of shy because of how some people were looking at him on our way out. I was gingerly him that he shouldn’t care about others view. We knocked on the gate and read the vacancy description again. Segun was twisting his body like a snake. Hahaha

“Yes!.” The gateman looked at us and definitely to Segun.

“Good afternoon “ Segun said in a tiny voice to sound like female. I was holding my laughter within me because I knew if I should tried to, then all how plans will end.

“You say watin??” The gatekeeper asked again staring at Segun.

“I said good afternoon.” Segun answered.

“Shey you put hot potato for mouth? Why are you talking like what I don’t know.

“We are sorry. Actually we are here for the vacancy.

“So, is that the reason why you brought your village sister Mr man.

“Me village girl! Na thu*nder go fire that your mouth!” Segun said in his mind.
