When my joint pain was at its absolute worst, I would sometimes spend two hours lying on a foam roller in the morning. Two hours!

This place was absolutely incredible. The water? Crystal clear and teeming with life—I’m talking thousands of fish, and yep, they were nibbling at my feet. 🐠😂

The highlights?
• A cliff I was too scared to jump off (heights and I don’t get along 😅).
• A beautiful blue bird (no clue what it’s called, but wow, it was stunning).
• And the iguanas… so many iguanas! Like, seriously, thousands everywhere I looked. 🦎

One of the biggest mistakes I made early on was not making the time to prioritize my healing. I pushed it aside, thinking I’d “get to it later”… and guess what? My symptoms only got worse.

Healing doesn’t happen overnight. It requires effort, consistency, and prioritizing your health above all else. 🙌

Yes, life is busy—work, family, kids—but what could be more important than gaining back your freedom, mobility, and energy? 🌱

Strength Training with RA? Essential.

One of the toughest parts of living with RA is losing muscle mass. 

I know because I’ve been there. 

Starting over wasn’t easy, but building strength has been a game-changer.

If you’re wondering, “Should I even be lifting with RA?” The answer is YES. 💥

Strength training doesn’t just make you look good—it takes pressure off your joints by strengthening the muscles, tendons, and ligaments that support them. 

More muscle around those joints = less pain and stress.

Carrying less body fat helps slow RA progression, too. Strength training burns calories and builds lean muscle, making weight management easier.

Good posture? That’s another win here. With strength training, your posture improves - helping to distribute weight and tension across your body more evenly, which means less inflammation and more freedom of movement.
