Are you confused about Dairy??🫠⁣⁣

🥛Dairy products actually contain many vital nutrients including protein, calcium, iodine and vitamin D. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
🧀Those with dairy sensitivities may not be able to have milk but can often tolerate small amounts of yoghurt and cheese better. There is also goat milk/cheese as an alternative to try.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
🥬Other rich sources of calcium include dark green leafy vegetables and canned fish.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
🤦🏾‍♀️Many people worry about eating butter and opt for margarine instead as they think it’s healthier.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
👉🏾The main issue with margarine is that it contains ‘trans’ fats from the hydrogenation process that can contribute to issues with cholesterol metabolism. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
🧈Organic REAL butter is much better to use and also has a high smoke point , so can be used in high-heat temperature cooking. ⁣⁣

So this one is a MYTH I would say! Remember to look at the quality of the dairy you are eating, rather than demonising all dairy products 💕⁣

Could a cluttered environment deplete willpower and make it harder to focus? ⁣

For example, research shows that people exert less self-control if they work at a messy desk. ⁣

When your environment is cluttered, willpower could deplete at a greater rate.⁣

It could be said that your subconscious is aware of the clutter and is always prompting you to do something about it, even if you think you have pushed it to the back of your mind. ⁣

So, decluttering physical space could be a good first step towards decluttering your mental space. ⁣

Statements such as ‘find your passion’ or ‘change your life’ can be anxiety-inducing for many. ⁣

What might be useful is taking moments to reflect on the things you are interested in. It could be 10 minutes a day or a few moments a week. ⁣

Only when we slow down can we tap into what we really want. ⁣

There are lots of things we can’t say no to in life and it’s easier said then done, but by learning to say no (to the things you can) you can better prioritise what matters most to you. ⁣

Your time and energy are valuable!⁣

Do you struggle with binge eating? You're not alone. ⁣⁣

The criteria for Binge Eating Disorder within the formal eating disorder categorisation⁣⁣ includes eating large amounts of food over a short period of time and feeling out of⁣⁣ control. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Eating in secret and feelings of shame and guilt also arise.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The good news is that there is light at the end of the tunnel because binge eating disorders are fully treatable. (Trust me i’ve been there myself!). ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Also, did you know that those with ADHD are 30% more likely to develop a binge eating disorder? I will go into this topic in future posts.
⁣⁣
There is no need to suffer in silence ❤️⁣⁣

Being your true authentic self is good for your health!

Getting to know who you are and what you like is so important for your mental wellbeing.⁣⁣⁣

For example, are you an introvert or extrovert by nature? Or both?⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Getting to know who you are and what your nature is means you can use your time and your relationships in ways that conserve and protect your energy. ⁣⁣⁣

Pretending to do things you don’t like or behaving in a way that isn’t really you, is energy draining and overtime can have a negative impact on your mental wellbeing. ⁣⁣⁣

That’s why I say, if a joke isn’t funny, don’t laugh😀. As overtime this could drain your emotional energy! 😮‍💨
⁣⁣⁣
Remember, people are more likely to love the real YOU, not a fake version, so don’t be afraid to show your imperfections, because that's what makes you unique and relatable. ⁣⁣⁣

Blood sugar balance is vital for better mental wellbeing and overall health 💛⁣

Glucose is the body's best source of energy and every single cell in your body uses glucose for energy. ⁣

Our mental health can be affected by blood sugar imbalances as our brain cells use glucose to think! ⁣

As well as improving your mental wellbeing, maintaining a healthy blood sugar level can help to prevent type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and other chronic conditions. ⁣

Here are some tips for keeping your blood sugars more stable: ⁣

▪️At meal times, aim for a balanced plate. Eat veggies first, protein & fats second and starches last. ⁣

▪️After a large meal, move your body, even just 10-15 mins of walking can help. ⁣

▪️Avoid skipping meals. ⁣

▪️Check to see if you have any nutrient deficiencies (especially magnesium).⁣

Taking care of your blood sugar levels is one of the best ways to look after your physical and mental wellbeing. ⁣

Stress can even enhance our performance in some cases.⁣⁣

As stress can be unpleasant, we often try our best to avoid it. However, sometimes it is not the stressful situtions that are the cause of our suffering but rather our resistance to them.⁣⁣⁣

When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change! This is why working with a coach can can be so effective. ⁣⁣

Stress is not always a bad thing, however, there is no doubt that too much stress can be harmful to our physical and mental health. ⁣⁣

Just like the food we eat, the people we hang around with, the things we watch, listen to, and read also affect our wellbeing. ⁣

That's why it helps to be mindful of our mental ‘diet’ - the things we put into our bodies emotionally and mentally.⁣

Taking care of our mental health is just as important as taking care of our physical health as it affects how we think, feel, and act every day. ⁣

The body has limitations the mind does not, so let's make mental health a priority and take care of our minds💕

Focus on progress and embrace your mistakes ❤️⁣


Instead of seeking perfection, look back to see how far you have come and if you are at rock bottom then the only way is up✨⁣

Progress is not linear and setbacks are inevitable and that’s ok 🤗⁣

Mistakes are opportunities to learn and grow, so keep moving forward even if it means taking tiny steps. ⁣

You don’t have to be on track 100% of the time and it’s the small and consistent changes that make the difference⁣

Remember, we become what we repeatedly do, not what we do once in while! So enjoy life ✌🏾⁣
