The Sudan Association of Physicians This was given the name of Sudan Association of Physicians. The first conference was held in 1967.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Sudan Association of Physicians is to assure the position of SAP as the national leader in advancing the science of medicine as the primary mechanism for improving the quality of patient care, enhancing medical progress, and enhancing the health of the public. The key objectives of the SAP are:

- Promote the scientific basis of medical practice
- Promote the betterment of public health
- Enhance the quality of medical care
- Be a leader in science and public health advocacy
- Enhance the profile and priority of science and public health within SAP. History

History of Sudan Association of Physicians

In 1966 Dr Halim, Dr Daoud Mstafa, Dr Mohi Aldin Mahdi, Dr Abdel Razaq Al Mubarak, Dr Mohd Hassan Abubakr, Dr Abdel Monem Wasfi and Dr Mohd Hassan Gabir agreed to form the first physicians forum in Sudan. The objective was to bring physician in Sudan together socially and professionally. It was agreed that each two years a new president, a secretary and treasurer be elected. The first president was Dr Halim Mohamed.
