Yoga has eight limbs:

Yama (ethical restraints),
Niyama (personal observances),
Asana (postures),
Pranayama (breath control),
Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses), Dharana (concentration),
Dhyana (meditation),
and Samadhi (absorption or enlightenment).

In an intensive yoga flow, asana and pranayama go together because, without proper breathing, you can't move from one pose to another.

Even though all physical yoga poses are just the beginning of the journey, it is beneficial to keep your body fit and strong so you can sit for a long time in your meditation.

That is the point of asanas.

Yoga is a great way to practice being disciplined. You just keep practicing over and over and over again.
Then, as you develop discipline and behavior, if you want to continue your journey on a deeper level, you can move inward with sadhana 🙏, ta**ra 🌺, or whatever your path is. Still, they all need discipline heavily.

On such a yoga practitioner level, your discipline shows on the mat
