Newyearsday 2026.
From the beach in Zandvoort, where people went for their New Year's dive, I left Holland for a 2 day journey by car to Sweden.

The snowstorm hit and chaos on the road in Germany. It's amazing I got through it ... but not alone! To call and receive reassuring support and encouragement from family and friends, to reroute and take it easy.
That's what makes all the diffrence in life.

People that are there for us in the moment it matters.

It's not that they weren't there before- it was me.... I never made the call.
Vulnerability is the game- changer.
My life was not like that say 7 years ago. I embrace this aspect of my 40ies and am glad not to be so tough on myself anymore.

The next day I was chanting mantras, singing with 90ies pop songs on the radio- while the snow made the driving rough, and the landscape beautiful : winter wonderland.
And...
I've arrived -At Ängsbacka.
The next 5 days is all about exploring in the present moment - together

It is in the meeting we meet ourselves as well.

On these days or remembering the returning light -
Which is to me in essence what Crist-Mass is about.
I celebrate also the darkness.

And give thanks to many of my teachers that guided me to engage, be curious towards - and welcome the unknown.
In myself, in life.

Both dark and light ,Ying and Yang together bring wholeness.

I give thanks to how alive it feels... this joy of fully surrendering to the moment while encouraged in his retreat that we express our shadows by playfully exploring them.

One moment I was crying feeling ashamed telling what was scary for me, the next moment I could face a shadow played out by someone in the group. And with that realisation of looking someone in the eye, being truthfully there, FULLY messy, scared and alive the shadow became an ally.

To this day I am glad for this co-empowered change, by the willingness to be vulnerable ble to face fear.
And I still do in many other moments in my present life.

Thank you teachers of life, that we share ourselves, mirror these parts in us with curiousity and bravery.
Thank you for encouraging courageousness 🙏
