Burnout has a market. Seriously: there’s an entire industry trying to sell you energy.
Energy drinks, supplements, all kinds of hacks to make you more productive.
But who asks themselves:
“Where is my energy actually going?”
Most people I know don’t. While live busy lives with work, family, obligations, a constant stream of messages. We try to respond to everything. Give attention to everything, and keep everyone happy.
No wonder we’re tired. Our energy leaks out in every direction.
What would happen if you paused for a moment and asked yourself one question:
“What are the three things in my life that truly matter?”
* The people who mean the most to you.
* The things that give your life meaning.
* What you deeply care about.
And imagine consciously directing your energy only there. Then something remarkable happens.
Your energy no longer leaks away in pitiful little streams, but flows like a roaring river in the right direction.
I’ve experienced it myself. By moving to Sweden, distance and space were created to look at my life differently and make new choices. That’s why I do what I do now.
Often it’s necessary to literally create distance in order to see which things truly matter to you.
That’s also the beauty of the canoe expeditions I now organize here in Sweden.
There is space, silence, movement, freedom, nature, and time to reflect. The ideal conditions to take a critical look at your life.
To see what and who deserve your attention, and what and who you can let go of.
There are still a few spots left!
