Waiting for Spring in the North ❄️🌱

Living in Norrbotten means having a lot of patience, but our garden dreams are already growing! We have huge plans for the backyard this year, and the work starts now.
We’ve just finished cold stratifying our seeds in the refrigerator and have officially started sowing our first round of seedlings. It feels so good to see a little green while it’s still white outside!
Counting down the days until the snow melts and we can finally start building our new vegetable and flower beds.

Who else is dreaming of dirt under their fingernails? 🧤✨🌸

Last September, we tucked hundreds of bulbs into the earth and whispered “see you soon.”

Watching them finally wake up is the best reward I could ask for. Patience really is a virtue.

Note to self: You can’t step into the same river twice. 🌊

Coming back home always reminds me that “different” doesn’t have to mean “worse.” It’s wild to see how my favorite old spots have shifted over the years and realizing how much I’ve grown and changed right along with them.
There’s a bit of a bittersweet feeling in it, but an even bigger sense of peace. Nothing stayed the same, and honestly? That’s the beauty of it. ✨
It felt so good to just switch to offline mode for a bit. To actually be in the moment and spend some real time with the people who’ve known me since the beginning and love me just the same. 🤍

My first run of 2026 ❄️

Cold. Ice. Fear.
I still showed up.

Winter in Sweden isn’t easy..it is long, dark, sometimes brutal.
But it’s also magic. ✨Quiet. 🤍Absolutely gorgeous.❄️

I kept Pilates.💗
But I left running behind.

Sitting became normal. Running stopped being automatic.
But I know myself.
I run. I move. I choose myself.💝

So I’m back.💪
Not perfect. Not fast. Just present.

Back to running.
Back to me. 🏃‍♀️✨

The Year Begins From the Inside Out✨

January doesn’t feel like a loud beginning for me anymore. I’d rather just continue..
Living in the north of Sweden these past years has taught me that real change is often quiet. Slow. Almost invisible at first.

I don’t see the whole year ahead of me, and I don’t need to.
In 2025 we found our home🏡, and with that came a deeper settling into a new life. Not just a place, but a feeling. A softer sense of belonging. A reminder that beginnings don’t happen outside of us..they happen within.💗

As a Pilates instructor, I’m constantly reminded that movement starts with awareness. With breath. With intention. Not force. Not rushing. And that’s how I want to meet this year too.

This January, I’m not chasing goals.
I’m choosing foundations.
How I want to feel in my body. 💪
How present I want to be in my days.
How consciously I want to move through my life and in my relationships.

Starting over isn’t about having all the answers.
It’s about allowing yourself to change, gently and honestly.

Here’s to a new chapter: written slowly, intentionally, and from the inside out ✨

Pilates is more than a workout for Me..it’s a method that builds deep core strength, improves posture, and creates balanced, controlled movement. My goal for 2026 is to bring running back into my routine, but Pilates stays✨, because it supports my body, keeps me strong and injury-free, and helps me move better in everything I do. It’s not just training for me, it’s my therapy. 💫

🌿 Plant-Based Gingerbread

Ingredients
• 500 g flour (all-purpose or gluten free version: rice flour+ almond flour)
• 150 g date sugar
• 30 g barley syrup (optional)
• 150 g date syrup
• 200 g vegan margarine, softened
• 15 g gingerbread spice mix (approx. 5 teaspoons)
• If you don’t have a mix: ginger, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and allspice

Instructions
1. Prep
• Preheat oven to 180°C (356°F).
• Line a baking sheet with parchment.
2. Combine dry ingredients
• In a bowl, mix:
flour + date sugar + spice mix.
3. Add wet ingredients
• Add the margarine, barley- and date syrup.
• Mix until a smooth dough forms.
(If sticky, chill for 20–30 minutes.)
4. Shape
• Roll the dough to ~3-5 mm thickness.
• Cut into shapes or form simple rounds.
5. Bake
• Bake for 8–12 minutes, depending on thickness.
They should be slightly soft when coming out of the oven.
6. Cool
• Let them cool on a rack; they will firm up as they cool.
