Some companies give new hires a welcome email. We give them the Lucia procession. 🕯️

Today we celebrated Lucia at Smart Eye – a very Swedish tradition involving candles, early-morning singing, and an unreasonable amount of saffron buns.

Seven of our newest colleagues took the lead and handled the whole thing with impressive composure.

Now our Gothenburg office is officially in holiday mode.

Smart Eye is adding two more truck models to our Driver Monitoring System ( ) lineup! 🚚🚚

A major European truck manufacturer has selected our DMS software for two more models, building on several earlier programs with the same customer.

The nomination was secured with a global Tier 1 supplier and reflects a pattern we often see: once our software is in production, additional models tend to follow.

The two new programs are expected to enter production in Q1 2028, with an estimated value of SEK 15 million over the lifecycle.

This brings Smart Eye to 368 design wins across 23 OEMs.

Some field notes from our alcohol-impairment data collection 🚗📍

Over the past few weeks, our team has been back on the closed test track in Mantorp, Sweden, to gather the kind of real-world driving data you simply can’t recreate in a simulator.

Together with the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI), we've run controlled drives with known BAC levels in both daylight and nighttime settings to understand how alcohol impairment and drowsiness show up on the road, and how they influence each other.

For in-cabin sensing to work, cameras need to know exactly where they’re looking. 🎯

Dynamic Camera Pose Calibration ( ), or auto calibration, helps systems stay accurate over time by automatically correcting for tiny shifts in camera position caused by vibration, movement, or design variation.

As vehicle platforms become more software-defined, DCPC is becoming a key part of keeping sensing systems adaptable, consistent, and ready for what’s next.

▶️ The video below, generated in Smart Eye’s Synthetic Data Generation Tool, gives you an idea of how DCPC works with a camera mounted in a rear-view mirror. As the driver adjusts the rear-view mirror, the camera immediately and automatically recalibrates, making sure the driver’s gaze stays accurately tracked.

Smart Eye’s Q3 report is now live!

The quarter delivered continued progress toward sustainable, profitable growth.

Both business areas showed strong momentum, and license revenues continued to accelerate as more vehicle programs reached production.

Highlights from the quarter:

• 33% organic growth and EBITDA +11.5 MSEK
• up 61%, fueled by more than 105 car models in production across 15 OEMs
• up 18%, with profitability and positive cash flow
