We are back to normal at the clinic now- and wow in all the years we have lived in Gothenburg (moved here in 2007 🫣 times flies when your enjoying life) we have never seen so much snow in town. We lived in Vasastan when we first moved here.

The clinic will be closed today because of the ❄️ snow.
Hej hoppas att ni har haft det underbart över jul och nyår.
Idag skulle blir vår första dag på kliniken men pga väder ❄️ så är alla bussar inställda och vi vill inte riskera att köra bil in till stan.
Jonas ringer alla patienter nu som är bokat idag och vi få ser hur det blir imorgon för det kommer mer snö under dagen och på natten.

Last day of work today before the holidays and reflecting over the year 💕
Dogs, horses and cats are very responsive to dry needling - horses tend to go inte a calm zone when they get needles and it’s very helpful for reducing muscle tightness, pain, arthritic pain even clicking in joints. It’s so rewarding to see the benefits as the animals cannot pretend to get better if the treatment works it works. Another fantastic year with many happy animals and people feeling the improvements of chiropractic treatment 🤩look forward to seeing you all and more next year 🥰

On Friday and Saturday I got to be part of a fantastic event hosted by Anna Stewart at Stewart Ranch with the amazing Maria Hallring of VBR. It was the first time meeting Maria and it was so great to see her in action assessing saddles, riders and analyzing the rider and horse together. I got to share my thoughts and experiences, treat some riders and horses and just work to be able to work as a team it was fantastic. My goals are always to be the horses voice and after this weekend it really emphasized this more. As the rider you really need to be aware of the impact your own body and its problems such a stiffness in one shoulder is affecting the horse, as well as your position, saddle, and how you train is affecting your horses body and its responses. I look forward to sharing more knowledge and also encourage all you riders out there that you should get checked out by either Jonas or me to give your horse the best possible chance to ride in harmony with you.

Many of the horses I treat have pain, tightness and stiffness around the low back area especially behind the saddle as well as issues in the pelvis. I treat around 50-60 horses a month and around 95% have joint dysfunction in this low back pelvis area 😳 it’s a lot. Great news is that so many get better with the treatment and right corrections of other factors such as the saddle.
It’s so important to check that your saddle is fitting to the horse it needs to fit on the horse without the pads and extra things under it. If you the rider is stiff or uneven then you will be putting stress on one side more that the other. Sometimes it takes such small changes in our own posture to make changes in the horses response to our position. Stiffness and pain in this area can cause many other problems such as hard to change gait, hard to gallop, kicking out the back leg, going backwards, hard to turn, shorter stride, lameness in the back leg - lots of issues. Needles are such a great complement to my chiropractic treatment ….so many happy horses today. I am so grateful that I get to help these beautiful kind caring and tolerant animals 🐴💕

Dry needling is fantastic for helping pain and inflammation - it can help muscle tightness, headaches, TMJ pain, tendon issues and even sleep. It’s also fantastic for arthritis in the knee. Animals can also benefit - I’ve successfully treated crepitus in horses back leg, helped pain from hip arthritis in a cat and also dogs, reduced muscle pain over the back of horses, decreased inflammation around the joints of neck in horses. Here is a dog getting some needles it’s amazing how they seem to know it’s helpful and just remain still and often they get very relaxed 🥰

Feet are a crucial part of how the rest of the body functions. How you stand, how you walk the shape and arch or your feet are really important to the function of our knees, hips and pelvis. By the time your around 6/7 yrs you can see the type of arch you have or if your flat (pronated feet). There are some great simple exercises to help activate and strengthen the arch which can be implemented as a child and they really do work (we have experience with our own kids).
Did you know we also have a orthotic machine which scans your feet and develops a tailor made insole for your shoes - we work with Foot Levelers have done for years now where we scan your feet and the company in the US develop the arch support. They even do them for children from age 7.
