We've just left Oslo after installing three new force plates from Advanced Mechanical Technology, Inc. (AMTI) in the Biomechanics Laboratory at Norges idrettshøgskole (NIH).

We've just finished the annual meeting of the Mocap Alliance in beautiful Genova in Italy.

The Mocap Alliance is a collaboration between distributors of Vicon Motion Capture systems and other related products in the motion capture field. The Mocap Alliance consists of Prophysics SOL (the Nordics), Prophysics (Switzerland, Austria, Germany), ProCare (BeNeLux) and GPEM (Italy).

We’ve had two days of sharing thoughts and experiences, and planning future collaborations. Had a great time with some terrific colleagues in the motion capture field!

Not above the arctic circle but almost! Last week we were in Oulo in northern Finland where we installed an EMG system at Työterveyslaitos - Finnish Institute of Occupational Health (FIOH).

Stefano from Cometa was on site with us and provided excellent hands-on training. The system will be used for in-field measurements under tough conditions. First project out is: "Promoting the work ability and occupational safety of industrial rescue teams – IndustryRescueFit".

Using the delivered RemoteX units, the researchers from FIOH are able to capture data from up to six rescue workers both simultaneously and independently.

NVUG is a Nordic network of Vicon Motion Capture system users. Prophyscs SOL is, along with Vicon, AMTI and ForMotion Bandagist, proud sponsor of the annual user group meeting. This year we've been at University of Southern Denmark (SDU) in beautiful Odense.

We’ve had three days of learning and sharing with colleagues using motion capture in their daily work. Many interesting discussions with inputs from the clinical, research and industry sides of the work field. And having great fun doing it!
