Our Ayurvedic Moong Dal Soup is a light, protein-rich recipe that supports digestion and promotes natural healing. Perfect for detox days, retreats, or everyday nourishment. 💛
🥣 Ingredients:
• 1 cup yellow moong dal (split mung beans)
• 4 cups water
• 1 tsp ghee (clarified butter)
• ½ tsp cumin seeds
• ½ tsp turmeric powder
• A pinch of asafoetida (hing)
• 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
• Salt to taste
• Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
• Optional: a squeeze of lemon 🍋
🔥 Preparation:
1. Rinse and soak moong dal for 20–30 minutes.
2. In a pan, warm ghee and add cumin seeds, asafoetida, and ginger. Sauté gently until aromatic.
3. Add turmeric and moong dal, mix well.
4. Pour in water, cover, and cook until soft.
5. Add salt, simmer briefly, and garnish with fresh coriander.
